Effect of Reinforcing with Copper Nanoparticles on Mechanical properties of Poly methyl meth acrylate (PMMA) by Ultrasonic Waves

Abstract

In this research we have prepared nanocomposite material based on polymeric material which it Poly methyl meth acrylate (PMMA) and doped by Copper Nanoparticles (Cu) with different weight percentages (5wt%,10wt%). The Ultrasonic Waves Velocity had been measured by Ultrasonic Waves system with frequency(25KHz). Absorption Coefficient, Relaxation Amplitude, Compressibility, Bulk Modulus and Specific Acoustic Impedance have been calculated at room temperature. . The results showed that all properties increased Linearly with increasing the concentration of Copper Nanoparticles (Cu) except the Compressibility that decreased with increasing the concentration
