التغيرات الفصلية لمحتوى بخار الماء فوق الشرق الاوسط

Abstract

This study is based on the annual, seasonal, and monthly water vapor averages obtained from the data of the European Center ECMWF for the period (1979- 2014). This study included five important cities which are (Baghdad, Beirut, Abu Dhabi, Sana’a, and Riyadh) from the Middle East area. These cities have different climate and geological characteristics. The behavior of water vapor, its distribution and its seasonal changes is studied in these cities during this 35 year period. The results showed that Abu Dhabi, Baghdad, and Beirut having the highest values of water content, temperature, and the nature of ground porosity; contain high water vapor amount respectively. The seasonal comparison showed that summer and August are the highest in the amount of water vapor while winter and February is the lowest.
