The impact of special excercises in developing the stage of maximum speed and improving the achievement among junior runners of 100 meters

Abstract

The study aimed to prepare special exercises for developing the stage of enduring the maximum speed in competition of junior ruuners of 100 meters and identifying the impact of special exercises in developing this stage as well as improving the runners achievement. The rsearchers uses the experimental approach which is suitable for the nature of the problem for the sake of achieving the aims of the research . So the researchers designed two equivalent groups of ante and post tests . After determining the research population of runners of 100 meters whose ages are between (16-17 years) and by 12 junior ruuners , a random sample of8 ruuners was selected . Each runner was given three attempts ,so the sample became 12 attempts for each group . The researchers used the number of attempts, rather than the number of individuals because of the small size of the sample which were distributed randomly into two groups by (4) runners for each group.After the completion of the process of testing and measurement of research variables , the research results were reached through statistical processing . The researchers reached to several conclusions such as : - The special exercises for the development of carrying the maximum speed stage had a significant effect in improving the achievement of the running contest of (100) m. -The special exercises for developing the maximum speed stage has more impact in improving achievement compared with the normal training program.The researchers recommended the following : -Coaches should identify special exercises for each sage of running contest of 100 m.-Coaches should also focus on developing maximum speed stage since it is the most important one in the performance of contest
