An Empirical Study on the impact of the Algerian dinar exchange changes on the GDP The case of Algeria period 1990-2012

Abstract

This article aims to determine the impact and the nature of the relationship between exchange rate changes and the Gross domestic product in Algeria through application of some appropriate standard methods on annual data series of the variables of the study during the period 1990-2012 in Algeria ,that with the assistance of automated media program to measure the economic Eviews 4 .The study found an important set of results such us: exaggerate the value of the currency occur slowing in the growth process, and that through the inverse relationship between real exchange rate and gross domestic product, and that big changes in the real exchange rate are related the unknowing of the nature of relative prices.
