The genetic bases of aggression and violence: Part two- role of the genes

Abstract

Violence is a big problem facing all rich or poor countries and drew attention researchers to do extensive studies involving several different biological aspects, including the study of genetic factors in the cell and its relation to violence and aggression and other behaviors associated with them. This study highlighted the two parts of the genetic material; chromosomes and genes. The first part, concerning the role of chromosomes in the aggression and violence, was published. In this part it was focused on a number of genes that play a major role in the emergence of violent, aggressive, anxiety, suicidal behaviors, impulsivity and other behaviors that ultimately lead to violence. It was revealed that there are genes that play a direct role in the violence and aggression without external influence if they are altered, genes behave like mines if they are evoked by any factor they are turn to play their role, gene can be stimulated by specific medicines, and genes that activated by the influence of other genes activated by any other means. This study calls for researchers to conduct more extensive research to put all human genes on study scope in on side and to reveal activation relationship with each other in another side to know the real fundamentals that underlie the increasing violence in the world in a way that the nature and the environment must not hold the responsibility alone. Hence, the study concludes that the genes carrying big secrets behind the violent and aggressive behavior, murder and terrorism, suicide and others antisocial behaviors that require continuing studied intensively.
