Abstract

The study of land uses for the purposes of transport is one of the most prominent urban studies, because of their importance in the management and development of cities. The more increased transport network efficiency increased the growth and development of the city, as well as reduce urban problems. The city of Baiji has formed axis for the study of urban transport within it. The study has used two types of classification, namely the morphological classification. Total lengths of roads in the city of Baiji reaching , according to this classification for the year 2010 (182964) km which (7975) km main streets form (4.35%) of the total length of the streets, (32 676) km secondary streets form (17.85%) of the total length of the streets, and (142 312) km of local streets form (77.78%) of the total length of the streets . Density of roads for the area is (13.62) for each (1 km2) in the whole city of Baiji, and the population density has reached (393) people / km. The other Category is the functional classification, which have been associated with morphological classification has been associated with commercial and industrial streets and main streets significantly, as well as the lack of inside the city to the streets for entertainment.
