Spatial analysis for (external & internal) transportation lines, and their effects on distribution of population in Al-Qunieterah governorate

Abstract

The transportation sector is the nerve that all economical, social and cultural activities and sectors depend on. Therefore the research studies this sector, which is distribution in the governorate from the far north to the far south, and from east to west, included the basic elements which connected with, firstly assimilated with road network by technical specifications, and thus form the infrastructure of the transportation network, and secondary population and their distribution within different settlements centers, and who form the important elements in transportation and traveling process. Also the research studies spatial connection between the distribution of the beneficiary population of transportation network, through making of spatial analysis, and studying the transportation availability in serving the population of different settlements centers. Where spatial analysis automated systems is used, and which depend on the technology of geographic information systems, which also one of the most important contemporary research tools that give high accuracy results. Finally the research adopted on applying some of quantitative indicators to indicate the level of interdependence between transportation network's elements, and study transit abundance of arterial roads to know effectiveness of this network.
