The Effect of Different Types of Infographics on Academic Achievement of female students in the Computer Course of Second year of secondary education in Riyadh City

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the impact of different patterns of an infographic on the academic achievement in the computer course for secondary school students. The sample consisted of two experimental groups. The first group consisted of 20 students using static infographic pattern. The second group consisted of 21 students using the motion infographic pattern. The static and motion infographics were designed according to the Instructional infographic design model. The researcher prepared achievement test to collect the data. After processing the results of the test by using T test, the results showed the following:1-There was a statistically significant difference in the average score at level of (P≤0.05) between the pre-and post-achievement test in favor of post-test for the first experimental. 2. There was a statistically significant difference in the average score at level of (P≤0.05) between the pre-and post-achievement test in favor of post-test for the second experimental group. 3. There was no statistically significant difference at the level of (P≤0.05) between average score between first experimental and second experimental groups post achievement tests. The study recommends training the general education computer teachers on the infographic patterns and their utilization in the teaching process.
