RITUALS AND IT'S TECHNICAL PROCESSING IN THE IRAQI SHOW OF IMAM HUSSEIN STAGE

Abstract

Show's techniques in the Imam Hussein Stage have a new perspective contains developable innovation according to presenting it in a ritual stage show within units, laws and modern technical styles either was inherited, renewed or invented, the director incurs the mission of preparing the text harmonically with Scenography designer in producing a new thing may attract attention of viewer, and because that direction is the vision art that any work has no meaning if it is displayed without making any change in it’s elements. In addition for that, shows of Imam Hussein Stage have new readings require from the director to omit or add via technical processes that he considers appropriate from the elements of theatrical show to provide the show a new value according to his scientific vision and his accumulated knowledge, theatrical job requires dealing with stage techniques professionally in order to reach the aesthetic and innovative vision through which creation of mingling the viewer with show notably shows of Imam Hussein Stage, based on this, the research was divided into four chapters, first chapter included the problem of research that is emerged in the following question: -How to investigate processing of technique in the Imam Hussein Show? While the importance of research was embodied in studying one of the topics that explore processing of techniques that emerge in the Imam Hussein Shows, the aim of research was to define the technical processing in Imam Hussein Show, while the limits of research were as follow; the time limit was limited to year (2012-2014), the spatial limit was in Babel and Karbala province, while the topic limit was about studying subject of rituals and technical processing for them in Imam Hussein Show and introduction in box-stage . Second chapter consists of two sections, first one includes studying concept of rituals starting from it's roots with the ancient human , changes and developments that these rituals have made for theater. Also studying concept of these rituals socially and philosophically, while second section has included studying rituals and technical processing in theatrical show and also included directors whose performance has been influenced with rituality beside investigating the Imam Hussein Stage in Arab homeland, then chapter was finalized with indications resulted from the theoretical frame , third chapter included procedures of research from population and sample that researcher has picked them purposely relying on depictive method in analyzing his sample. Fourth chapter came up with listing results of analyzing sample , most distinctive ones are: 1- The director has tackled with ritual music of slamming drams considered as an element aims to emerge subjective purpose for the play and supporting to it, therefore music was artistic element takes part in constructing plot of show. 2-Director's concern with fashion via processing them in deepening historic accuracy by a ritual feature. Also fourth chapter included a bunch of conclusions, most distinctive ones are: 1-Music has added an aesthetic respect in the Imam Hussein Stage's shows by achieving balancing and harmony between other elements. 2-Fashions are important elements that featured with social and cultural limits that participate in composing the mixture of actor and his ritual behavior. The researcher has recommended some recommendations and suggest some suggestions that may enhance the scientific research, then followed by a list of references and sources.
