Strategic planning and its role in achieving high performance: Analytical Research of the views of a sample of the leaders of the Municipality of Baghdad

Abstract

The research sought to diagnose the relationship of between strategic planning and its dimensions (Message, goals, analysis, strategic choice) And High performance in its dimensions (leadership, strategy, structure and processes, culture) In the Municipality of Baghdad, The problem of research In the low level of services provided by the Organization in question, This may be due to the need of the Organization To support the effectiveness of strategic planning processes As an important basis for achieving high rates of performance To face the problems they face , The researcher designed a questionnaire consisting of (32) paragraphs to collect preliminary data from the research sample consisting of (71) Individual, managers' assistants and heads of departments in the organization, Statistical program (SPSS) was used in data analysis to extract: The mean, standard deviation, simple linear correlation coefficient (Spearman), The research found that is a statistically significant correlation relationship Between strategic planning and high performance,The research also recommended the need to develop strategic plans to address potential problems And to monitor and evaluate these plans in accordance with environmental developments and events.
