An Assessment of AL – Wind River Hydrological Quantitative Features in Iraq

Abstract

The ALWinde River is one of Diyala tributaries in eastern Iraq. It flows from the western Iranian mountains with an average annual of 18.7m3/s during (1950- 1974). It decreased to 9.6 m3/s at present (2013 – 2017), and falls to 1.5 m3/s recently (2017) Thus, this paper focuses on these changes and the problemes associated with them. The water developments of the river requires amuital cooperatin between Iran and Iraq.
