The Effectiveness of E-Sketch Noting Utilization in the Development of Active Learning Skills and Attitudes among Princess Nourah University Students

Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the effectiveness of utilizing e-sketch noting in the development of some active learning skills among students of Princess Nourah University. It also aimed to identify students’ attitude towards utilizing e-sketch noting. For achieving the study objectives, e-sketch note-based learning environment, an observation card to measure students’ performance of some active learning skills and e-sketch noting attitude scale were prepared. The quasi-experimental approach is adopted, and the sample consisted of 58 students divided into an experimental group (30 students) and a control group (28 students). The study results revealed a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the control group taught by the traditional method and the experimental group taught by e-sketch noting in the post application of the active learning skills observation card, favoring the experimental group. There was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group in the pre- and post- application of the e-sketch noting attitude scale, favoring the post-application.
