The Effect of Using the Writing Processes Approach to Improve the Writing Skills of Persuasive 10th Grade Female Students in Riyadh City

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of using the writing processes approach in improving the persuasive writing among the tenth grade female students at Riyadh city. (40) students participated in the study who were selected by random multi-stage cluster method. They were trained over five weeks (two sessions daily) on how to use the writing process, which included five steps: the pre-writing, writing the first draft, review, editing and publishing. The research findings revealed that writing process approach influenced student Persuasive writing skills. The paired t-test results have demonstrated significance at the p <0.05 between pretest and posttest.
