The impact of Iraq's accession to international conventions against corruption and settlement of investment disputes in the development of its economic sector

Abstract

: In this study we dealt with the impact of Iraq's accession to the international conventions against corruption and settlement of investment disputes in the development of its economic sector.The first is the criminalization of corruption in the private sector under the United Nations Convention against Corruption, by criminalizing the latter for the main acts of corruption in the private sector: bribery and embezzlement of property.The second topic deals with the practice of the International Center for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) for its jurisdiction, highlighting the consensual jurisdiction and the subject of the International Center as well as personal jurisdiction.In conclusion, we reached the most important conclusions and recommendations in the subject of this research
