Study habits and their relation to the skill of self-organization among university students

Abstract

There are many students who do not get an estimate commensurate with their quality in the study, but suffer from the failure of some materials, while at the same time some teachers complain of students who appear negative in some educational situations, such as postponement Duties and weakness of desire clearly in the presence of lectures and often appear not to be the majority in the discussion of their themes and ideas, and boredom mixed with low achievement level, and also prevails among students frequent absence and improve opportunities to cancel lectures or postponed reasons and justifications, For the occasions to disable them, or terminate them before the end of the lecture, including neglect in the performance of academic duties, that the university requires preparation as appropriate, so the transition to the classroom in the college requires an adjustment to the habits of study, Students learn to adjust the priorities of the balance, and the process of finding a balance between independence on the one hand and continuing contact with the family on the other hand, requires students to gradually begin to reduce dependence on others and maintain a sense of association with them and this puts us in front of questions about customs The objectives of the research were to identify the level of the self and find the differences of statistical significance depending on the gender variable (male and female) and specialization (scientific - human) and the nature of the relationship between the habits of study and skill Self-regulation and achievement of these objectives A random sample of 416 students was selected (208) males and (208) females for the academic year 2016-2017.The criteria of study habits and the skill of self-regulation were applied after realizing their cytometric characteristics (honesty-stability). When analyzing the data, several statistical methods were used. In analyzing the data,In light of the results, the researcher recommends:1- the need for students to take the university to practice positive teaching habits to raise the level of academic achievement.2-the need to urge students to use methods that push students to use the skill of self-regulation and make them more motivated to succeed.
