The initiative and its relationship with problem solving skills of kindergarten children

Abstract

The goal of current research to know the relationship between initiative and problem solving skills of the kindergarten children. The research was conducted on a sample of 100 children and 50 children and 50 children aged 5-6 years in the preparatory grade were randomly selected from (10) ) Kindergartens with (10) children From each kindergarten of the General Directorate for the education of Baghdad Rusafa second and to achieve the objectives of the research. The first test was not for kindergarten children, which consists of five fields and (50) items divided into five fields: each field (10) items and correct the scale with a binary balance (1, 0) apply to me - do not apply to me The researcher adopted the test of problem solving thinking in the kindergarten children prepared by the researchers (Al-Ghurairi and Ibrahim, 2010). The test consisted of (64)items divided between five areas of skills Problem solving thinking Recognizing and understanding the problem, posing hypotheses, choosing the right solution among several solutions, organizing positions, predicting and applying the test individually. After the statistical processing of the data, it was found that the children of the sample have the initiative. After comparing the differences between males and females, there was a significant difference between the males and females In the initiative. And for the benefit of males as well as children have the skills to solve problems and the absence of differences between males and females in problem-solving skills and the correlation between the principle and problem-solving skills was calculated, it was found that there is a positive correlation between the principle and problem solving skills in kindergarten children.
