The Jews of Palestine under the Greek Empire

Abstract

From the fourth century to the first century BC, Palestine witnessed serious changes at all levels, political, religious, social or economic, which in turn affected the formation of the community of the Jewish community in Palestine, and caused many members of this community to flee from it . The term of this period of Greek rule in the East was generally referred to as the Hellenistic era. The nature of the research required that it be divided into four sections, four axes and a conclusion. The preamble includes how the Greeks occupy Palestine. The four axes include the political, religious, economic and social conditions of the Jews in Palestine in the Greek era. The conclusion is to illustrate the main findings of the research.
