Abstract

In this study, a map has been prepared showing the appropriate value of wheat crop cultivation with three levels by adopting some soil properties. The aim of this study was to prepare reliable appropriate maps can be adopted in the future to estimating the quantity of seeds needed, economic costs to establishing a successful agricultural operation within the target land in this study so that there is no waste of time and effort. Thus, this type of map remains within the framework of open studies that can be to add, edit and accumulate information. We selected area that represents Nineveh governorate for preparation maps of Agro-Ecological Zones maps of Nineveh. The choice of wheat was because it is a strategic agricultural crop known in the central and northern regions of the country, especially in the Nineveh governorate. The work has been divided into several different paths; the purpose is to include as much land coverage as possible that can be contained according to the leading roads to it and land uses. It included information, observations related to plant, cultivated crops, type of soil, climatic conditions, agriculture processes, land use, the prevailing irrigation system (rainfed, irrigated), type of soil to prepare the agro-ecological zones, then took soil samples from different areas of the governorate then analyzed them. Thus, we estimated acidity degree, electrical conductivity, gypsum and gypsum, as well as soil texture. We then found an appropriate value for each of the properties mentioned.
