Abstract

.Critical thinking among adolescents and adults "developmental study"Abstract .. The current research aims to identify: 1 - critical thinking among adolescents and adults in the ages (16-21) years.2 - the evolutionary path of critical thinking among adolescents and adults in the ages (16-21) years.3 - the significance of differences over time in the critical thinking of adolescents and adults in the ages (16-21) years.4 - the degree of critical thinking among adolescents and adults in the ages (16-21) years, depending on the variables of gender (male - female), and specialization (scientific - literary) / (scientific - human).5 - the significance of differences over time in the critical thinking of adolescents and adults in the ages (16-21) years, depending on the variables of gender (male - female), and specialization (scientific - literary) / (scientific - human).6 - The significance of differences in the degrees of critical thinking in adolescents and adults in the ages (16-21) years, depending on the variables of gender (male - female), and specialization (scientific - literary) / (scientific - human).In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher chose a random sample of multiple stages of secondary schools and universities in the city of Baghdad for the academic year 2017-2018, and then prepared and applied a test of critical thinking suited to the research samples, according to the Watson-Glaser test of critical thinking; after checking logical and psychometric.The research came out with a number of results, including:1-There are differences of statistical significance and in favor of the theoretical average at the age of (16) years, while the differences were in favor of the mathematical averages in other ages.2-There are statistically significant differences according to the age variable in favor of the mathematical averages in the ages (16-21) years.3-There are differences of statistical significance by variable specialization in reconstruction (17-19) years for the benefit of literary and humanitarian specialization.4-The significance of the interaction between age and specialization was not statistically significant.5-There is statistical significance in the interaction between age and specialization
