Abstract
Abstract:The aim of this study is to identify the academic freedom of the faculty members in Baghdad university. The research sample consists of the faculty members in Baghdad university for the academic year (2017-2018) whom their number is (6233) teaching staff. A stratified random sample was selected which has proportionate distribution with percentage of (50%) which constitute (400) teaching staff. To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher has adopted the standard of the academic freedom that was put up (Hamdan, 2008).The findings of this study came up with the fact that the faculty members have a low level of the academic freedom.
