preparation and diagnosis of nano - activated carbon from falling lemon leaves

Abstract

The research included preparing activated carbon and nano scalefrom the fallen leaves of the lemon trees. The prepared charcoal wasdiagnosed using different techniques such as the infrared spectrum(FT-IR, X-ray diffraction (XRD), the atomic force microscope (AFM),as the results of the FT-IR spectrum showed that the activated aactivated charcoal did not contain any combination effective, that is,it is chemically inert, as the results of both (XRD) and (AFM) showedthe minute volume of activated charcoal within the range approxantto the nano scale size and the shape of the pores) on the surface of theprepared activated charcoal bearing the properties of the nanomaterialwith their properties, and som physical properties were also studied.Coal such as the percentage of moisture, density and acidic functionand the percentage of ash content, where it has a percentage of whichhas up to (8%) and the density of 0.4 g/cm3 while the pH (7.2) function.
