Modeling, Analysis and Speed Control Design Methods of a DC Motor

Abstract

Modern manufacturing systems are automated machines that perform therequired tasks. The electric motors are perhaps the most widely used energyconverters in the modern machine-tools and robots. These motors requireautomatic control of their main parameters (position, speed, acceleration,currents).With the help of an example, a DC motor system, the use ofMATLAB/Simulink for comprehensive study of modeling, analysis and speedcontrol design methods has been demonstrated.
