Effectiveness of the method of direct inquiry in the collection of second grade students in the average Biology

Abstract

The study aimed at knowing the effect of using the directed – exploration method in the achievement of the second – year ( intermediate stage ) female students in biology .The sample of the research consists of (66) female students , (32) out of which are in the experimental group and (34) are in the control group . the researcher has matched the two groups , and the experimental design of the partial control has been used .The researcher has constructed an achievement test of which it’s validity and reliability has been verified . the test reliability is (0.81) .The data has been analyzed statistically using T-Test for tow – independent samples and Pearson correlation formula . The results indicated that the performance of students who have been taught by using directed - exploration method is better than those who have taught by using the traditional method .The researcher recommended to use this method in teaching biology .
