Tissue Nucleic Acids Contents and the Activities of Their Turnover lnzymes: (RNase and DNase) in Patients with Benign and Malignant Ilterine Tumors

Abstract

DNA and RNA wefe isolaled from tissue hornogenates of pathological contlol, benign andmalignant utefine tumo$ using phe ol exiraction method. The purification of isolated DNA and RNA werecaried ou! using spin-column method.-fhe DNA and RNA contents (myml) were found to be highef in the malignant tunor trssueshomogenates than those of coresponding pathological contfol and benign utefine tumor trssueThe acid and alkaline bonuclease (RNase) activities and acid deoxyribonuclease (DNase) aclivilywere evaluaied in sera ofconnol. benign and malignant utefine tumors patients. I'lighly significant elevation(P<0.001) ofthese enzymes activities werc found in cancer gr oup in compadson wirh that of other g oups.No differ€nces in the thrce enzymes aclivities were found among the subgroups (pre-menopausal,menopausal. post rnenopausal patients) ofeach group under siudy
