A phonetic study of the Arabicized Persian Utterances in the Holy Quran

Abstract

Arabs trimmed the Arabicized words to make heir sounds and structures Arabic. They substituted some of the sounds that are alike according to the place of articulation in order to suit their language. What made Arabs to Arabicize was that some of the words were unlimited ln Arabic (Al- Mashmoom) for example refers to (musk) and that used traditionally not exactly and it remains shared and Arabicized from the persian (mushk), the later word is more correct in the achievement of the meaning.In addition to that, some of the goods and drugs came to the Arabs which were unknown to them. The Arabs did not allow to use the words they are used natively, that’s why they modified them to suit their language. All these things were before the coming of Islam. These Words were mixed with the Arabic ones and became Arabic that is why God address Arabs with such words. The Arabicized Persian words are not so many in The Holy Qur’an, they are not more than forty words. Moreover, there are words that came from the other languages Persiana and then to Arabic.This, research paper aimed at mentioning the Persian words as they are mentioned in AL-Quran with the explanation of the way of the phonetic Arabicization, such Arabicization may be meddle through the omission, the addition or the substitution of voiced by another voiced sound or voiceless by another one for the sake of expressing by another one for the sake of expressing the identification according to the place of articulation, the features or the exchanges of the identical sounds, ect. There are words which are the same in both languages and they are pronounced In the same way in both languages
