Children satellite channels and their impact on forming bad consuming habits

Abstract

The research is concerned with standing at the advertising promotion at programs to identify the irrational consuming habits which those programs establish in the satellite broadcasting directed to children through monitoring the advertising messages, analyzing the technical structure of these programs to identify the advertising mechanism in convincing the child with a certain good, revealing the media stimulators of entertaining programs, commercials and interactive programs which engenerate in the child consuming habits and unwise purchasing decisions the research defined a period of time in monitoring those satellite channels specified to children and their programs begin from the beginning of 2012 until the 9 th month of the same year , at the nilesat. The research addressed the importance of information and its impact on rehabilitate the child, the requirements of child information, the current reality of the child information and the negatives it is full with . It also dealt with the commercial deceiving styles which mix children’s innocent pleasure with programs designed for mere commercial purposes which is hard to the child to distinguish between what is enjoying and entertaining far from those which plant the bad purchasing habits and unwise consumption .
