Abstract

Abstract The first three years in the life of the child are very important in guiding the process of language development with them . It is in this period that the sound foundation for the coming language development is laid down .Unless there is an opportunity for the child during this period to develop his vocabulary and language skills , there will be a negative impact on his language capacities later on . Many related studies have pointed out to the presence of perception concerning a weakness in the roles of teachers in kindergartens in developing language skills in children enrolled in these kindergartens , and the absence of using the appropriate methods in implanting and developing language skills in addition to the non-observance of language aptitude in children ; a matter which hinders language development later on . In view of what has been argued , the problem of the present paper lies in answering the following question : What are the most effective methods that teachers use in kindergartens to develop language skills in children ? The significance of the present paper springs from the importance of language in human life , since Allah ( the Almighty ) has bestowed on human beings a merit of communication and understanding through language . The researchers have touched upon a number of psychological theories that interpreted how language skills and language capacities in children are acquired . A number of related studies ( both Arabic and foreign ) have been reviewed . Such studies that deal with language development in children have been adopted as a guideline throughout this paper . The procedures of the present paper include determining the community , samples , and tools of the research . Interviews , questionnaires , ( open and closed ) are employed as tools . Statistical means used have been determined . The last chapter contains analyses of results , conclusions , recommendations , and suggestions reached at .
