Comprehensibility of What is Read is my Strategy - Leed and the Repetitive Communication as a Sample

Abstract

Reading has doubtlessly an importance being one of the main skills by which language communication and intellectual growth for learners are achieved. But there are some impediments that hinder reading from having its suitable position because students and teachers still look at it as entertainment and a way to pass time. This leads to depreciation of reading and its aim. Unfortunately, for a long time, it became popular in the educationalists' minds that a good reader is the one who is able to pronounce written words and phrases well so they forgot that recognizing words and pronunciation, though an essential skill, are a means to an aim, not an aim in itself. The new concept of reading looks at it as two connected processes; the first is a mechanic one while the second is a mental one by which meaning is illustrated. Comprehension is still the main aim of reading.
