Abstract

Face detection and emotion recognition has become an important issue in many applications in computer visions communication and automatic access control system. This paper proposes accurate and robust detection system for face and lip. The algorithm recognizes the face from images and ignores the rest. It depends on color of the skin and edges of the face. Irrelevant regions are removed from images by applying Morphological connected transformations. After face detection the system divides the face to objects and then detects the lips and recognizes them. The algorithm depends on the connected components analysis without boundaries. It also adopted the 8-connected neighbors approach. A proposal work is used to recognize some of facial features. Additionally, the algorithm compares the detected lip with set of templates to extract the facial emotion.

Abstract

Uranium (238U) concentrations and Radon (222Rn) activity concentration were measured in sediments of marshes in Iraq. (185) samples of sediment were brought from the different stations of three southern governorates, in Basrah governorate which represented Al-Qurna and Al-Mediena marshes and in Thi Qar governorate are represented suq ashukh, Garmat Bani Saeed, Al-Akieka, Al-Chibayish,Al-fohood and Al- hamaar marshes and in Missan governorate are represented Al-kahlaa, Qalaat Saleh, Al-Mejar Al-Kabeer and Al- Azeer marshes. The selected areas were chosen according to civilian population. CR-39 detector and a closed cylindrical plastic container technique were used in this investigation. Maximum concentration of uranium is (4.1719 ppm) which observed in sediment of Al-Kahla marsh in Missan governorate (station number 136 (Al-Seliayl (2))) and minimum concentration is (0.2683 ppm) which observed in sediment of Al- Akiekah. marsh in Thi Qar governorate (station noumber 72 (Al Harbea (2))). The maximum activity of radon concentration is (53471.766 Bq m-3) which observed in the sediment of Al-Kahla marsh in Missan governorate (station number 136(Al-Seliayl (2))) and minimum activity concentration is (3438.699 Bq m-3) which observed in sediments of Al- Akiekah marsh in Thi Qar governorate (station noumber 72 (Al Harbea (2))). In this study most of measured concentrations for uranium and radon in natural limits according to (ICRP) where the concentration of uranium in sediments varies widely, but typically contains about 3 ppm, While other many concentrations are relatively high values, all results in this paper are discussed.

Calculation the Electromagnetic Properties of 134Sn Nucleus

Abstract

In this study, we calculated the energy levels of 134Sn nucleus, which have two neutrons outside closed-shell core nucleus 132Sn. This study is performed by using the Particle –Vibration Coupling Model(PVCM) which adopt the Modified Surface Delta Interaction (MSDI), as two neutron interaction, and 0-2 quadrupole phonons for collective core vibrations. The reduced electric transition probability B(E2) for transitions between states and the electric quadrupole moment Q are calculated within this model also. To improve all our calculations of B(E2) and Q we introduced the concept of core polarization effect to obtain the best description for the available experimental data .

Abstract

Copper Ferrite CuFe2O4 thin films have been deposited by chemical spray pyrolysis technique (CSPT) with thickness of (0.76± 0.05) µm onto glass substrates at different temperatures (300-450)℃. All samples were annealed at 500℃ for (1hr.). It was confirmed from XRD analysis that all films exhibit polycrystalline structure. In addition, XRD analysis was utilized to compute grain size (N) and dislocation density (δ). Surface morphology was characterized using SEM and photomicroscope images. The energy dispersive spectrometry data clearly states that the deposited CuFe2O4 was formed. The optical properties for all films were studied by recording the transmittance and absorbance spectrum in the range of (200-1000) nm. The optical energy gap for allowed direct electronic transition varies from (2.35-2.0) eV with increasing of the substrate temperature .The optical constants, such as extinction coefficient (K), calculated and discussed

An Intelligent Temperature control system for a Prototype Greenhouse based on IoT Technology

Abstract

Abstract In recent years, the Greenhouse has been developed with the latest technologies due to the importance of this field. The aim of this paper is to design and implement an intelligent controller for cooling / heating system, using an efficient and low power consumption device, called Thermo-electric cooler (Peltier). The goal of the main controller is to stabilize the temperature inside the greenhouse. A fuzzy controller is designed based on two inputs, error (Err) between set point and actual temperature, and change in error (ΔErr), and one output (pwm) which act as a control signal to drive the Peltier. The overall system is built based on a standalone microcontroller with a simple sensor and actuator. an IoT system are Implemented to enable the farmer to monitor the greenhouse temperature and change it remotely, that for make the peasants works much easier and save much efforts. The prescribed system is tested with some experiments using different transition set point. The result of these experiments shows accepted responses that are suitable for greenhouse applications.
