Description of The Journal
The Journal is one of the major contribution to the Scientific Research Programmes at University of Kufa. It is published by Faulty of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at the University of Kufa.
The Journal is mainly concern with publications of a high quality researches that meet the publication conditions in a specialist of Mathematics and Computing. It is quarterly journal, to include two numbers during a year (paper and electronic).
The journal release its first issue successfully in April 2010, followed by four other numbers that contain several papers submitted for publication, of which many papers presented and accepted by our first scientific conference held by our faculty, entitled “Recent Trends in Information Technology and Mathematics for the period 13-14 April 2011 .
The last number V is dedicated to papers presented and accepted at our second scientific research conference, entitled “The First International Scientific Conference for Information Technology , Telecommunications and E-learning for the period 24 – 25 April 2012. The Conference is held by our faculty in co-operation with College of Education for Girls and College for Education, and Research Centre for Information Rehabilitation.

Al-Kutaibi (1997). الملخص : نقدم في هذا البحث المجموعة الرابطة من النمط b- مع بعض النتائج التي حصلنا عليها معتمدين في ذلك على المفاهيم التي قدمها كوتسجوك في هذا الموضوع (1955) واندريجفيك (1996) والكتبي(1997) .

Abstract

In this research a system has been designed depending on the optimization intelligence programming problems using the integer genetic algorithm in order to measure the collage efficiency in performing the teaching services. A genetic module has been designed for measuring the college efficiency following two styles: the first one is the integer genetic algorithm for solving direct integer constrained linear optimization and transformation style through transforming the problem from a complex formula into a simple one indirectly and hence through the latter, a zigzag crossover method has been used in the crossover process. Also the mutation function was used. It was obvious that the second method is more efficient than the first method by comparing the results of both.الخلاصة في هذا البحث تم تصميم نظام معتمد على مسائل البرمجة الأمثلية باستخدام الخوارزمية الجينية الصحيحة في مجال التعليم وذلك لغرض قياس كفاءة احد الأقسام العلمية بإحدى الكليات في محافظة البصرة، في أداء الخدمات التعليمية ، حيث صمم نموذج جيني لقياس كفاءة الكلية. ويتضمن هذا البحث التفصيل الكامل للنموذج الجيني لتقييم المستوى التعليمي الذي يقدمه قسم علوم الحاسبات إلى الطلبة المنتسبين وتعريف بعض الرموز المستخدمة في تكوين النموذج . والمعلومات التي يتطلبها هذا النموذج وتشمل درجات التقييم والوقت الكلي المتوفر لأداء الخدمة والوقت اللازم لتقديم الخدمات التعليمية للطالب الواحد ولجميع الدروس. . وقد تم تنفيذ النموذج الجيني باستخدام الخوارزمية الجينية الصحيحة بأسلوبين الأسلوب المباشر للدوال الصحيحة المشروطة والثاني الأسلوب غير المباشر ( أسلوب التحويل) أي حل المسائل المشروطة بشكل غير مباشر بطريقة مبسطة، وبهذا الأسلوب تم استخدام تقنية التزاوج المتعرج (Zigzag Crossover Method) وأيضا تم إضافة تعديل على دالة الطفرة (Mutation) وقد ظهر أن الأسلوب الثاني أكثر كفاءةً من الأسلوب الأول من حيث السرعة في الحصول على النتائج .

Abstract In this paper, we define the concepts of a closed ideal with respect to an element of a BCH-algebra and a closed BCH-algebra with respect to an element of BCH-algebra . We stated and proved some theorems which determine the relationship between these notion and the notions of some ideals of a BCH-algebra. المستخلص : في بحثنا هذا عرفنا مفاهيم المثالي المغلق بالنسبة لعنصر في جبر (BCH) وجبر (BCH) المغلق بالنسبة لعنصر في جير (BCH) حيث ذكرنا وبرهنا عدد من المبرهنات التي حددت العلاقة بين المفاهيم أعلاه وبعض أنواع المثاليات في جبر (BCH).

On Mixing Properties in Topological Dynamics

Abstract

Abstract Mixing property was classified in the first book of topological dynamics written by Gottschalk & Hedlund ,[4], ( 1955 ) as one of the regionally transitive properties . It is concerned with the existence of a compact subset of the phase group of a topological transformation group such that for every non empty open subsets of ,there exists a compact subset of such that, for every In this work we introduced new different types of mixing ,and studied there relations with other transitive properties. Moreover we studied some relations between them and recursion dynamical properties such as periodicity , almost periodicity and recurrence. we gave conditions to transfer some types of mixing under suitable homomorphism.

NK-SORTING ALGORITHM

Abstract

ABSTRACT Sorting has been a profound area for the algorithmic researchers and many resources are invested to suggest more works for sorting algorithms. For this purpose, many existing sorting algorithms were observed in terms of the efficiency of the algorithmic complexity. Many algorithms are very well known for sorting the unordered lists. In this proposed algorithm, we suggested a new algorithm for sorting integers number depending on dividing the input array to many sub-arrays (which represents a vector or array with one dimension), according to the number of digits in each integer number, the relation between sub-array elements is determined, and this relation used to determines the right location of each element in sub-arrays. Collision may happen, which is solved by moving elements in sub-array to next location. Finally, all ordered sub-arrays will be merged together to rebuild the origin array. The proposed algorithm compared with many famous algorithms gives promising results.

WEST OF IRAQ SATELLITE IMAGE CLASSIFICATION USING FUZZY LOGIC

Abstract

In this paper, land use/cover classification using fuzzy techniques which involves several steps, from designing the parameters of the membership functions through classification of the satellite image to the refining the final product. To decide the threshold parameters of membership functions that lead to appropriate classification of the scene, one band of landsat-5 were investigated by the features of the histogram of each area to be classified. The results of fuzzy system (Mamdani type) has been compared with the classical method (* Maximum likelihood classification *) and encourage us to use this technique for other bands with optimum rules for future works. تم اجراء عملية تصنيف الأراضي المستخدمة والمغطاة باستخدام المنطق الضبابي والتي تحتاج إلى عدة خطوات بدا من تصميم متغيرات دوال الانتماء وصولا إلى تصنيف صورة الأقمار الصناعية للنتيجة المطلوبة. لتقرير قيم العتبة المناسبة لعملية التصنيف , تم دراسة آحد الاطوال الموجية لصورة من القمر الصناعي لاند سات-5 لمنطقة غرب العراق ودراسة المخطط التكرراي (Histogram ) لكل منطقة من مناطق التدريب وكيفية الاستفادة من هذه المميزات لاستخدام المنطق الضبابي في عملية كتابة القواعد المناسبة لعملية التصنيف , تم مقارنة نتائج النظام الضبابي (نوع Mamdani *) مع احدى الطرق التقليدية للتصنيف (طريقة Maximum likelihood) وكانت النتائج المستحصلة مرضية لتطبيق المنطق الضبابي على بقية الاطوال الموجية وإيجاد القواعد والاطوال الموجية الأمثل لعملية التصنيف في الأعمال المستقبلية

Abstract

Abstract: In this paper, we will study the numerical solution of fuzzy initial value problems using two methods, namely, the least square method and the Adomain decomposition method. Also, comparison between the obtained results is made, as well as with the crisp solution, when the -level equals one. المستخلص في هذا البحث , سوف نقوم بدراسة الحل العددي لمسألة القيمة الإبتدائية الضبابية بإستخدام طريقتين مختلفتين هما طريقة المربعات الصغرى وطريقة ادومين للتحليل وسوف نقوم أيضاً بمقارنة النتائج التي نحصل عليها مع الحل المضبوط عندما ألفا تساوي واحد فقط .

Abstract

In this study we present five variables of lecturer's evaluation in department of community health nursing, college of Nursing, Kufa university in Iraq for 2011. The data is analyzed using completely random design, LSD and factorial Experiment to explain the significant difference between all variables (scientific ,personality ,ability of evaluation and ability of communication ) for each type of evaluation. SPSS program (version 16) was used throughout this study to analyze the data and to generate various Tables . في هذه الدراسةِ تم نُقدّيمُ خمسة متغيّراتِ لتقييمِ المُحاضرِ في فرع تمريض صحة المجتمع، كليَّة التمريض، جامعة الكوفة في العراق عام 2011. إنّ البياناتَ قد تم تحليلها باستعمال تصميم تام التعشية، LSD وتجربة عاملية لتَوضيح الاختلاف الهامِّ بين كُلّ المتغيّرات (العلمية، الشخصية، القدرة على التقييمِ والقدرةِ على توصيل المادة) لكُلّ نوع من المتغيراتِ. برنامج SPSS (نسخة 16) أستخدم في هذه الدراسةِ لتَحليل البياناتِ ولتَوليد النتائج والجداول المُخْتَلِفةِ

An Improved Algorithm for Data Preprocessing in Mining Crime Data Set

Abstract

This paper presents an improved algorithm for data preprocessing to solve the problem of missing values and smoothing the outliers in the real world data sets. Previous works in this field are based mainly on replacing the missing values with the average, class average, most common values and some other techniques in the same direction, and outliers were generally cancelled from the data set. Crime and criminal data sets have their own special characteristics and benchmark in that missing values and outliers have different meanings than in other fields, so they need to be processed in different manners. The algorithm is based mainly on using clustering techniques to group the objects according to their similarities and dissimilarities, then smoothing the outliers accordingly and the missing values are processed according to their clusters. WEKA is used as a tool to find different clusters of the criminals.

Different Control Systems Parametric Identification Using Neural Networks

Abstract

The information is to used for system identification which involves the determination of model structure, parameter estimation and also signal estimation of non-measurable signals such as noise signals in stochastic systems. The determination of the model structure requires a construction of a mathematical representation of the system relevant to the problem at hand. Identification is classified into parametric and non parametric procedures. Parametric identification is used to identify the system parameters. On the other hand, non parametric identification method is used to map the input-output properties of the system. In this work different types of neural networks architectures, namely, feed forward neural network and Hopfield network are used as parametric identifier for both continuous and discrete control systems with different orders and types assisted by an off-line computer simulation using C++ language. Hopfield Neural Network is used as a parametric identifier with assumption of the availability of system states for measurement then, identification is performed based on input-output measurement only. Simulation results show the capability of these types of NNs to identify the unknown parameters of the plants.
