Abstract

Reducing or removing all kind of wastes, which are defects, inventory, waiting, transportation and extra-processing, are the main aim for organizations in order to minimize cost, so, excluding any activity which cannot add value is required. The main aim of this study is to select the main reasons standing behind any kind of waste in Diyala pharmaceutical supply chain like damage, spoilage, surplus, shortage and expiry date in medicines and pharmaceutical supplies; and administration activities based on the questionnaire prepared for this purpose. The Diyala health sector is one of the Iraqi health sectors linked centrally with the Ministry of Health. The main tool for collecting data was secondary data on website and unstructured interviews with 15 drug store and pharmacy directors; also, a multi-choice questionnaire was distributed to 42 drug stores and pharmacies in Diyala health sector. The main results in this study, there are several reasons behind waste in the Diyala pharmaceutical supply chain. The expiration of medicines and medical materials is the first reason and the storage conditions are the second reason. There are difficulties in reporting surplus medicines and medical materials because of long administrative procedures. The main difficulties to report expired medicines and medical materials is because of fear of accountability.

Abstract

Supply chain management is of great importance, especially in commercial conditions, where supply chain management has become very important for many reasons, including development in many fields, including information technology. Supply chain management is an important issue in industrial companies for its distinctive and important role. As the information technology contributes effectively to reduce the effort human resources and speed and thus contribute to the management of the supply chain effective contribution to the development of optimal production policies (manufactures) and distribution of products and warehouse management, which generates the lowest total costs of the company and this study focused on supply chain management of its importance in this area. The main objective of this study is to focus on the importance of building a model in supply chain management in addition to providing the model in supply chain management using the programming objectives and uncertainty environment represented by ambiguous numbers.

Abstract

In today's complex environment, a high responding ability represents a core for each organization to survive in a competitive environment. To grip your position in intense competition market, the organization must design high efficiency inventory system that has the ability to respond to changes in demand and at the same time reduce holding cost of accommodation to the lowest possible value by controlling inventory drivers such as safety stock level (SS). The traditional approaches of safety stock are limited to deal with dynamic behavior of market. Advanced approaches based on soft computing allow the dynamic updating of SS level. In this paper, a highly advanced dynamic fuzzy logic (DFL) has been suggested as an innovation step to identify safety stock level in dairy industries with objective of minimizing total cost and meet with customer requirements. The proposed approach consists of three main steps firstly, identifying demand uncertainty conditions by applying fuzzy logic steps embedded by identifying dynamic (N) factor which represents the increasing level in demand in period time. Secondly, identifying of raw material availability conditions by applying fuzzy logic steps, and finally, identification of inventory on hand conditions by applying fuzzy logic steps. It is necessary to identify the level of SS dynamically in fuzzy logic as an output embedded with identifying of period specification concept which describes states of demand in a specific period in which the demand is high, medium, or low which leads to identify maximum values of universe of discourse of output (safety stock). Here Matlab program was used. The provided solution demonstrates the proposed model validity. There has been a significant reduction in safety stock level ranging from (7-98)% depending on product type and period specification with a reduction also in holding cost, while keeping the requirements fulfillment of customers demand

Abstract

With the modern orientation of companies which concentrates mainly on customer, globalizations, and high competition position, this caused the supply chain members must be under high pressure to manage and control their effectiveness. So measuring of supply chain performance in such circumstances can be considered as a crucial effect and it is implemented in this paper. This research aims to estimate supply chain performance measurement based on Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchical Process. In real application, the performance of organization estimated based on different factors and these factors vary in impact on performance depending upon policies and strategies of organization. The importance of each factor was identified by applying Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchical Process technique. Two phases fuzzy logic rule were applied, the first phase i.e. fuzzy inference system was used to identify performance indicator of each factor by using its value and importance. The second phase was started by using second fuzzy inference system to identify supply chain performance measurement by integration of all factor indicators which obtained from first inference rule. The developed approach provides an effective tool for evaluation of supply chain performance measurement and real case study was presented in dairy industries.

مع التوجه الحديث للشركات التي تركز بشكل رئيسي على العملاء، العولمة، والمنافسة العالية، تسبب هذا في أن يكون أعضاء سلسلة التوريد تحت ضغط عال لإدارة ومراقبة فعاليتها. لذلك يمكن اعتبار قياس أداء سلسلة التوريد في مثل هذه الظروف تأثيرًا حاسمًا ويتم تنفيذه في هذا البحث. يهدف هذا البحث إلى تقدير قياس أداء سلسلة التوريد على أساس العملية الهرمية التحليلية الضبابية. في التطبيق الفعلي، يتم تقدير أداء المنظمة بناءً على عوامل مختلفة وتختلف هذه العوامل في التأثير على الأداء وفقًا لسياسات واستراتيجيات المنظمة. تم تحديد أهمية كل عامل من خلال تطبيق تقنية العملية الهرمية التحليلية الضبابية. تم تطبيق مرحلتين من قواعد المنطق الضبابي. تم استخدام المرحلة الأولى والتي تمثل نظام الاستدلال الغامض الاول لتحديد مؤشر الأداء لكل عامل باستخدام قيمته وأهميته. بينما بدأت المرحلة الثانية باستخدام نظام الاستدلال الغامض الثاني لتحديد قياس أداء سلسلة التوريد من خلال دمج جميع مؤشرات العوامل التي تم الحصول عليها من. يوفر النهج المتطور أداة فعالة لتقييم قياس أداء سلسلة التوريد وقدمت دراسة حالة حقيقية في صناعات الألبان.
