Abstract

LTE networks are the latest generation of wireless networks based on IP architecture; it is standardized by the 3GPP in its Rel.8. LTE networks are implemented practically to access internet with very high data rates with using various multimedia services.This paper is based on five types of downlink packet scheduling algorithms in LTE networks,It examines the impact of throughput, the fairness and the spectral efficiency of each scheduling algorithms when the speed of UE (User Equipment) and the number of UEs are changed. A comparison between the scheduling algorithms has been done using Vienna LTE SYSTEM LEVEL Simulator.

ان شبكات LTE هي الجيل الاخير للشبكات اللاسلكية المبنية على معمارية بروتوكول الانترنيت IP حيث تم معايرتها من قبل3GPP في اصدارها الثامن, وهذه الشبكات طبقت عمليا للوصول الى شبكة الانترنيت بتدفق بيانات فائقة جدا مع استخدام متنوع لخدمات الوسائط المتعددة.يستند هذا البحث على دراسة خمسة خوارزميات جدولة الحزم النازلة في شبكات LTE. تم اختبار تأثير كفاءة النقل والعدالة بين المستخدمين وكفاءة استخدام الطيف لكل خوارزمية عند تغيير عدد المستخدمين وبتغيير سرعة المستخدمين. تمت المقارنة بين هذه الخوارزمياتباستخدامبرنامج محاكاة فينا لمستوى النظامLTE System LevelSimulator.

Abstract

Background: Health information systems in most countries are inadequate in providing the needed management support and the current health information systems are therefore widely seen as management obstacles rather than as tools, the current study is an attempt to assess the behavioral and organizational determinants of Health information system performance in Iraq.Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with a total of 189 respondents selected from six Iraqi governorates were interviewed. The Organizational and Behavioral Assessment Tool was used to measure the behavioral and organizational determinant of Health information system performance, it is one of the PRISM package tools that are used to assess the Health information system performance. Results: The overall mean confidence for Health information system tasks was 69.41%, while for tasks competence, it was 37.1% and that of motivation level was 43.4%. The total score of promoting a culture of information was 63.96% with department provide reward for a good work revealed a total percent of 56.83%.Conclusion: It can be concluded that overall mean confidence for Health information system tasks is generally high compared to a low competency level for Health information system tasks, with a negative motivation feeling among respondents.

Abstract

Data acquisition is an important part of any type of instrumentation. New technology can be used to make data acquisition system more portable and powerful. Android mobile operating system which is an open source and widely acceptable, can be used to make a data acquisition and a control system. This paper presents the automated approach of controlling the devices which has been designed by mobile phones having Android platform to automate the lights, fans, bulbs, and reading temperature by using on/off relay via Bluetooth interfaced with microcontroller programmed by using MikroC PRO for PIC, and Android system JDK is used to develop the system, which is proved to be very efficient and convenient.

إن الحصول على البيانات هو جزء مهم في أي نوع من الأجهزة. ويمكن استخدام التكنولوجيا الحديثة لجعل نظام الحصول على البيانات عن طريق الاجهزة المحمولة. الاندرويد هو نظام تشغيل الهواتف المحمولة وهو مفتوح المصدر ومقبول على نطاق واسع، ويمكن استخدامه في الحصول على البيانات والتحكم. تم في هذا البحث تصميم متحكم في الأجهزة عن طريق الهواتف النقالة باستخدام نظام ألاندرويد لأتمتة الاضواء، والمراوح، وقراءة درجة الحرارة باستخدام مفاتيح (Relays) للتشغيل و الإيقاف عن طريق ربط البلوتوث مع المتحكم الدقيق و برمجتها باستخدام MikroC PRO ويستخدم نظام أندرويد JDK لتطوير النظام.

Abstract

Buildings such as malls, offices, airports and hospitals nowadays have become very complicated which increases the need for a solution that helps people to find their locations in these buildings. GPS or cell signals are commonly used for positioning in an outdoor environment and are not accurate in indoor environment. Smartphones are becoming a common presence in our daily life, also the existing infrastructure, the Wi-Fi access points, which is commonly available in most buildings, has motivated this work to build hybrid mechanism that combines the APs fingerprint together with smartphone barometer sensor readings, to accurately determine the user position inside building floor relative to well-known landmarks in the floor. Also the proposed system offers a monitoring activity which lets the administrator to watch and locate certain user inside the building.The system is tested in a big building indoor environment and achieved positioning accuracies of approximately 2.1 meters.

اصبحت المباني مثل مراكز التسوق والمكاتب والمطارات والمستشفيات في الوقت الحاضر معقده للغايه ممايزيد الحاجه الى وجود حل يساعد الناس في ايجاد موقعهم في هذه المباني. ويعد نظام تحديد المواقع العالمي واشاره ابراج الاتصالات احدى الطرق الشائعه في تحديد مواقع الاشخاص خارج تلك المباني ولكنها ليست دقيقه في تحديد مواقع الاشخاص داخل المباني. ان وجود الهواتف الذكيه في حياتنا اليوميه بصوره شائعه وكذلك توفر البنيه التحتيه القائمه على وجود نقاط الوصول قد حفز على بناء نظام هجين يجمع بصمه نقاط الوصول مع قراءات جهاز الاستشعارفي الهاتف الذكي لتحديد موقع الشخص بدقه على الطابق نسبه الى علامه معروفه في هذا الطابق. ايضا النظام المقترح يوفر خاصيه المراقبه التي تسمح للمشرف بمشاهده وايجاد موقع شخص معين داخل البنايه. وقد تم اختبار النظام في بنايه كبيره حيث بلغت نسبه الدقه في تحديد موقع الشخص مايقارب ,12 متر.

Abstract

The effect of three ionic liquids viz., 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (ILE), 1-hexyl-3-metylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (ILF) and 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (ILG) when used as surfactants on the performance of dissolved air floatation (DAF) was investigated. Experiments were conducted at a temperature of 30-35 ºC, 10ppm ferric chloride as coagulant, 50% recycle ratio, pH 8, and 10 minutes treatment time to find oil and grease (OG) and turbidity removal efficiencies at saturation pressure (2-6) bar.ILs were used at concentration of 50 µl/liter of treated water in two positions in DAF system; the saturation vessel and the treatment tank. The performance using ILs in the saturation vessel were better than that in treatment tank because ILs reduced the surface tension of water, which lead to an increase in the solubility of air in water and eventually increase the microbubble formation. The OG removal efficiency using ILG as an efficient surfactant in saturation vessel was higher than that in the treatment tank and higher than other ILs (ILG>ILF>ILE). The removal efficiency reached about 90% at a saturation pressure of 5 bar, and 85% at 3 bar, which reduces the operation costs. The treated water oil concentration at 3bar was 9.5 ppm, which meets the Iraqi pre-disposal regulatory limit.

Abstract

In order to properly manage risks, an institution must recognize and understand risks that may arise from both existing and new business initiatives; for example, risks inherent in lending activity include credit, liquidity, interest rate and operational risks. Risk identification should be a continuing process, and should be understood at both the transaction and portfolio levels. Credit risk is the likelihood that a debtor or financial instrument issuer is unwilling or unable to pay interest or repay the principal according to the terms specified in a credit agreement resulting in economic loss to the banking institution. Credit risk means that payments may be delayed or ultimately not paid at all, which can in turn cause cash flow problems and affect its liquidity. Credit risk is still the major single cause of bank failures. Credit concentrations, are viewed as any exposure where the potential losses are large relative to the banking institution’s capital, its total assets or, where adequate measures exist, the bank’s overall risk level. This may be in the form of single borrowers or counterparties, a group of connected counterparties, and sectors or industries, such as trade, agriculture, etc or in the form of common or correlated factors. The Asian crisis demonstrated how close linkages among emerging markets under stress situations and correlation between market and credit risks as well as between those risks and liquidity risk, can produce widespread losses. The credit process issues, many credit problems reveal basic weaknesses in the credit granting and monitoring processes. While shortcomings in underwriting and management of credit exposures represent important sources of losses at banking institutions, many credit problems would have been avoided or mitigated by a strong internal credit process. The paper reviews existing literature that consists mostly evidence from developed countries. A study model is proposed with amendment to fit Iraqi environment.

Abstract

In this paper, the surge tank utilization method was used to prevent the water hammer. The study was conducted on a practical problem at pipelines and pumping station of Badra – pumping station No. 5, which is possessed to Iraqi General Company for Execution and Irrigation. For this purpose, Surge2012 transient analysis software was used to achieve the best design and checking parameters.The study recommends installing 2x14m3 closed surge tanks near to lifting station. The outlet/inlet nozzle has to be of 300 mm diameter. The initial air volume must be 5 m3 for each one. All these parameters must be achieved to maintain a positive and negative pressure waves in pipe network system within accepted values.

استخدم في هذا البحث اسلوب خزان الأندفاع لأخماد تأثيرات المطرقة المائية. تمت الدراسة على مشكلة عملية في خطوط انابيب لمحطة ضخ بدرة رقم 5 والتابعة للشركة العامة لتنفيذ مشاريع الري في العراق. وقد استخدم لهذا الغرض برنامج حاسوبي لتحليل الضغوط العابرة يسمى “Surge2012” للتأكد من الحصول على أفضل تصميم وتحقيق العوامل الهيدروليكية. أوصت الدراسة بالأخذ بالأعتبار النقاط التالية للمحافظة على موجات الضغط الموجبة والسالبة في الأنبوب ضمن قيم مقبولة: نصب خزانين مغلقين بقياس (2x14m3 ) بجوار محطة الضخ وبحجم هواء 5 م3 لكل خزان وتكون مجهزة بمنفث ادخال/اخراج بقطر 300 مم.

Abstract

Since the adoption of parliamentary system in Iraq, in 2005, some of the negatives, in applications of this system have emerged, including: that some of the functions of parliament, constitutional, have not been performed, including: oversight of the executive branch, or found some shortcomings in the performance of Parliament , and likeness: the legislation and the budget, .., research is treatment of cause and effect, of the weakness of the parliamentary performance; throughout the period (2005-2015).

منذ اعتماد العراق النظام البرلماني، في ادارة الدولة والحكم، عام 2005، ظهرت بعض السلبيات، في تطبيقات هذا النظام، ومنها: ان بعض مهام البرلمان، الدستورية، لم يتم ادائها، ومنها: الرقابة على السلطة التنفيذية، أو وجد بعض القصور في اداء البرلمان، ومثاله: التشريع والموازنة،..، وعالج البحث المسببات والنتائج، لضعف الأداء البرلماني؛ طوال المدة (2005- 2015).

Abstract

This project presents the Design and Implementation of Access control System using PIC Microcontroller. The design is coded and implemented using MikroC language for the purpose of implementation inside the PIC Microcontroller. This design consists of a remote sensor which is used to detect the feedback signal. Automatic door system is used as an industrial application for the access control system where presented by this paper. The automatic door system model is designed and implemented with PIC-16F877A micro controller, laser sensor and DC motor and custom designed structure for its automatic door system. MikroC programmer is used to test the design codes, and Protus Simulation program is used for the purpose of simulation for the schematic of the design. The design needs maximum clock frequency of 4 MHz. Therefore, the proposed design will be able to cover a wide range of applications with a high sampling rate. Enhancements are made for the design to decrees the memory size in order to get fast execution time. The used ROM is 600 Byte (7.3%) from 8191 Byte and the used RAM is 93 Byte (26%) from 368 Byte of the memory size of PIC Microcontroller. Experimental results show a fast execution time for detecting the interrupts of the remote sensor. Therefore, the proposed Access Control System can be used with different industrial applications. It is very convenient system for consumers and has extensible and flexible characteristics. It can also be used for home doors with additional sensor devices.
