Abstract

In this work of Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) were fabricated using Nano particle titania (TiO2) (deposited on ITO glass) as photo anodes and carbon counter electrode, sensitized dye were natural dye anthocyanin dye was extracted from red cabbage and chlorophyll dye was extracted from palm leaf and the electrolyte (I-/I3-). The absorption spectra of natural dye was investigated by UV-Visible spectroscopy which showed that the beetroot dye and palm leaf absorbed light at 550 nm and (664,420) nm respectively. The efficiency of prepared DSSCs were estimated through I-V characterization, the fall factors (ff) and electrical conversion efficiencies (ᵑ%) were measured using potentiostat. The conversion efficiency of chlorophyll and anthocyanin was 0.892%, 0.502% respectively.

Abstract

This investigation deals with the use of cement kiln dusts waste (CKD) as adsorbent for removal two kind of acid dyes from simulated wastewater. cement kiln dusts waste prepared by dried at 60C°. The effect of pH: 2-12, contact time: 20- 180 min, sorbent weight: 0.5- 4.0 g were considered. The optimal pH value for acid dyes adsorption was found to be 2.5 for acid red dyes(ARD)and 6.5 for acid blue dyes (ABD). The equilibrium data were analyzed using Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. Freundlich model was found to fit the equilibrium data very well with high-correlation coefficient (R2). The adsorption kinetics was found to follow pseudo-second-order rate kinetic model, with a good correlation (R2 > 0.95 and 0.94) for acid red dyes(ARD) and acid blue dyes (ABD). respectively. The results showed that the cement kiln dusts waste was found to be an attractive low cost adsorbent for the treatment of wastewater.

Abstract

This study includes synthesis 2-amino benzothiazole and its substitutes (M1-M14) by the reaction of aniline derivatives with KSCN in presence of Br2 and glacial acetic acid then neutralize by concentrated ammonia solution or (by 50% NaOH). The prepared compounds (M3-M5-M6-M11) were used for preparation diazonium salts through reaction with NaNO2 and HCl, at that point diazonium salts were utilized specifically interaction with 4-amino antipyrine and 4-amino-3-hydroxy-1-naphthalene sulphonic acid (in alkaline medium) to produce azo dyes (M15-M22).These compounds were characterized by their physical properties, spectroscopic information (FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and CHNS elemental analysis), and also to systematically defining of a few active functional groups for these prepared compounds. The biological activity evaluated for four of prepared compounds towards four kinds of bacteria

يتضمن البحث تحضير 2- امينو بنزوثايازول ومعوضاته (M14-M1) عن طريق تفاعل معوضات الانيلين مع KSCN وبإضافة حامض خليك الثلجي, و البروم ومعادلته بمحلول الامونيا المركزة (أو 50% هيدروكسيد الصوديوم). وقد استخدمت المركبات المحضرة (M11-M6-M5-M3) لتحضير الأملاح الدايازونيوم، من خلال التفاعل مع NaNO2 و ,HCl وتم تحضير أصباغ الآزو (M22–M15) بوساطة تفاعل أملاح الدايازونيوم مع الكواشف العضوية 4- أمينو أنتي بايرين و 4- أمينو -3- هيدروكسي -1- نفثالين حامض سلفونيك (في وسط قاعدي(. وتم تشخيص هذه المركبات باستخدام الطرائق الفيزيائية والطرائق الطيفية مثل طيف الأشعة تحت ألحمراء (IR) وطيف الرنين النووي المغناطيسي الكربوني والبروتوني (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR) وتحليل نسبة العناصر للمركبات (CHNS) ,وكذلك تم استخدام الكشف التصنيفي لتشخيص بعض من المجاميع الفعالة للمركبات المحضرة. وتم تقييم الفعالية البايولوجية لأربع من المركبات المحضرة ضد أربعة أنواع من البكتيريا .
