The monetary policy seeks to maintain balance of payments balance. Therefore, the research aims to identify the monetary policies after 2003 in Iraq and the impact of their monetary instruments and types to address the imbalance in the balance of payments in Iraq. The research used an analytical descriptive method to review and examine the aspects of the balance of payments and monetary policy adopted since 2003. Analytical study revealed that Iraqi monetary policy is not independent and its tools are ineffective in dealing with the fundamental imbalances in balance of payments itemsKeywords - Monetary Policies - Balance of Payments - Indirect tools - monetary stability.

تسعى السياسة النقدية إلى المحافظة على توازن ميزان المدفوعات؛ لذلك يهدف البحث إلى التعرف على السياسات النقدية بعد عام 2003م في العراق وأثر أدواتها النقدية وأنواعها على معالجة الاختلال في ميزان المدفوعات العراقي.واستخدم البحث المنهج الاستقرائي الوصفي التحليلي للاستعراض والإحاطة بجوانب كل من ميزان المدفوعات والسياسية النقدية المتبعة منذ عام 2003 واتضح من خلال الدراسة التحليلية؛ أن السياسة النقدية العراقية غير مستقلة، وأدواتها غير فعالة في مواجهة الاختلالات الجذرية في بنود ميزان المدفوعات.وتضمن البحث بعض الاستنتاجات والتوصيات.الكلمات المفتاحية: السياسيات النقدية – ميزان المدفوعات – أدوات غير مباشرة – الاستقرار النقدي
