The small and middle industries regarded one of the important economical sectors that took noticeable importance in all over the world for their big role in production , employment , icome management , innovation, and technological progress . They also have a role in achiving the social and economical aims for all countries . Both the small and middle industries compose the percentage of 85% of the total number of the working transformational factories in the countries of Gulf cooperation council . These industries also face many problems and obstacles cause to their unsettlement state from one country to another within the council . For that purpose the current research was written to identify to identify the nature of these industries from the point of studying their concept , their importance , and their state inside the countries of Gulf cooperation council . In addition to studying the challenges facing the development of these industries in the current technological development and the effect of globalization on it.

تعد الصناعات الصغيرة والمتوسطة واحدة من القطاعات الاقتصادية المهمة التي نالت أهمية كبيرة من قبل دول العالم كافة وذلك بسبب دورها الكبير في الإنتاج والتشغيل وإدارة الدخل والابتكار والتقدم التكنولوجي ، فضلاً عن دورها في تحقيق الأهداف الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لجميع الدول ، إذ أن الصناعات الصغيرة والمتوسطة يشكلان معاً ما نسبته 85% من إجمالي عدد المصانع التحويلية العاملة في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي . كما أن هذه الصناعات تواجه العديد من المشاكل والمعوقات أدت الى تذبذبها من دولة الى أخرى داخل دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي . لهذا جاء هدف البحث هو التعرف على طبيعة هذه الصناعات من حيث دراسة مفهومها وأهميتها وواقعها داخل دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي والتحديات التي تواجه تطور هذه الصناعات في ظل التطورات التكنولوجية المتسارعة بفعل اتساع نطاق العولمة .
