Abstract

In this work, a circular E-shaped slot microstrip patch element is investigated to design a reflectarray. The E-shaped slot dimensions are varied to study, reflection properties of the patch antenna. It is discovered that the reflection properties and phase range of the proposed element can be optimized using the E-shaped slot's dimensions. The element's resonance and full parametric analysis were checked using a modern microwave software tool was involved to simulate. A 340o phase range is achieved easily;it is enough to design a small-size reflectarrays.

في هذا العمل، سوف يتم اختبار عنصر مغير التصحيح على شكل دائري يحتوي شق على شكل-E لغرض تصميم reflectarray. تم تغير أبعاد الفتحة على شكل-E لغرض دراسة خصائص الانعكاس للهوائي المصمم. تبين أن خصائص الانعكاس ومدى الطور للموجة المنعكسة من العناصر المقترحة يمكن أن يكون الأمثل باستخدام أبعاد فتحة على شكل E-. تم فحص عنصر في حالة الرنين وتحليل كامل باستخدام أداة برمجية حديثة لتحليل الموجات لغرض المحاكاة. تحقق مجموعة طور (340o ) درجة بسهولة، وهو ما يكفي لتصميم (reflectarrays) بحجم صغير.

Abstract

In this paper, a new approach for the positioning(localization) of multi-node systems is presented. Each nodeincluding the beacon node contains two types of sensors: onefor the distance sensing and the other type is forcommunication. The main idea of our proposed approach is touse the control of beacon to construct anodes' tree which isgoing to be used later by the nodes to know the paths in whichthe information will flow. During the tree construction, theidentities of nodes will be known. Every node except thebeacon will use the information obtained from its previousneighbor in the tree to find its own location and orientation.Several simulations using visual basic 2012 are implemented todiscern the performance of this algorithm.

Abstract

In digital signal processing (DSP), FIR digital filter isvery important device to deal with particular frequencies of acertain signal to be appropriate for some applications such ascommunications, sound equalizers, etc. In this paper, FIRfilters are adapted to decompose the original sound signal intofour signals. Each one is created by one FIR filter and eachfilter represents a narrow band of frequencies. The filteroutput is used to drive a certain variable speed drive (VSD) tocontrol the speed of a water pump and light intensity of acolored lamp. This filter output signal is applied to the analogcontrol voltage terminals of the VSD unit to control thefrequency and magnitude of the voltage supplied to the lampand pump. Thus, the heads of the water jets and the lightintensity is controlled according to the analog control signalswhich are created by the FIR filters (The VSD is used to mapthe filter output into light intensity and water head bycontrolling the supplied voltage of them). The goal of this studyis to design and simulate four sound harmonics bandsproduced by FIR filters to drive four VSDs which aresimulated using V/F ratio constant method for musicalfountain operation.
