Avoiding the Impacted Supernumerary Teeth Complications by Its Early Evaluation, Using Dental Three Dimensional Computed Tomography

Abstract

Early diagnosis of unerupted supernumerary teeth is veryimportant. Detailed examinations and evaluations of these teethwith Three-Dimensional (3D) images are very beneficial in termsof treatment planning and avoiding complications, which mayoccur. 3D imaging in Dentistry offers many advantages withrespect to diagnosis and treatment planning. The applications ofsoftware-3DCT images for detailed evaluation of impactedsupernumerary teeth: location, number, morphology and positionalarea, to avoid their possibility complications by early choosing theproper surgical treatment. A descriptive study including 98unerupted supernumerary teeth from 75 healthy patients between10 and 43 years of age. Reasons for patients attendance included :malocclusion ,lack of eruption of permanent teeth ,prominence ofgingival ,diastama, ,cystic lesion, caries and pain in differentregions of dental arches, taking into account the variables ofpersonal data, gender, age, location, morphology, number andpositional area, related complications,3DCT scans study andcorrelated with surgical approaches and treatment. Incidence inimpacted supernumerary teeth is higher among male patients (ratioM: F of 1.8:1) .They are most frequently located in the maxilla(64.28%) mainly in the premaxilla within the central incisors –mesiodens (40.82 %) were detected by 3DCTscans ,most of themclassified under Type III ( 72.5%). Most cases present only singleunerupted supernumerary teeth (77.33%). The conical shape isthe commonest morphology (34.69%).The diastema registered thegreatest proportion (40.81%) of complications cases .Surgicalremoval of these teeth was done by labial or buccal approaches in(45.91%) of cases. 3DCT radiographies achieved to diagnosisand determine the exact situations, identified morphology,determined number presented and determined the position types ofwhole impacted supernumerary teeth that they were provedsurgically to be in the same locations, similar shapes, right numberand correct anatomical positions. With less invasive surgicalinterventions and less operation time. Early treatment planning ofthe impacted supernumerary teeth, the exact diagnosis ofanatomical location, shape, number, position of mentioned teeth isan important issue to avoid their complication in the future.

Abstract

In this paper, the reconstruction of an object (faces) in the form of a 3D model (3D point) from unconstrained images (different in pose) has been studied. Beside with the 3D reconstruction of the object (faces), the paper also aims at estimating camera poses from a sequence of views. The structure from motion (SFM) method has been used in 3D reconstruction techniques, The SFM technique has 5 fundamental steps, namely Feature detection and extraction, feature matching, motion estimation (Computation of the fundamental matrix), triangulation and bundle adjustment. The results of the proposed algorithm show it's very encouraging as far as execution time and quality of reconstruction

تم دراسة إعادة بناء الاجسام (الوجوه) في شكل نموذج ثلاثي الأبعاد (نقطة 3D) للصور غير المقيدة (مختلفة في الوقفة). بالاضافة الى إعادة بناء الكائنات (الوجوه)، فان البحث يهدف أيضا إلى تخمين وقفات الكاميرا من سلسلة من وجهات النظر. وقد استخدمت طريقة هيكل الحركة في تقنيات إعادة الإعمار ثلاثية الأبعاد، وهي تتضمن 5 خطوات أساسية، وهي كشف واستخراج الخصائص ، مطابقة الخصائص، تخمين الحركة (حساب المصفوفة الأساسية)، والتثليث وتعديل الحزمة. وتبين نتائج الخوارزمية المقترحة أنها مشجعة جدا فيما يتعلق بوقت التنفيذ وجودة إعادة الإعمار

Abstract

In this paper, the processes of 3D LASER scanning and dimension inspection were simulated for certain dimensions object. The scanning operation is divided into two major modes, Searching Mode and Scanning Mode. In scanning mode two sub-processes (scanned point validation and plane fitting) are introduced, i.e. to find the plane which contains most of scanned points. The final step is the decision making, which gives a decision about acceptance or rejection of the scanned manufactured object. The proposed algorithm is successfully applied to seven cases. One of them which has the exact dimensions and this case has been accepted. The other six cases, which have different dimensions, have been rejected.

تم في هذا البحث محاكاة عمليات المسح الليزري بالأبعاد الثلاثية لجسم محدد الأبعاد. أن عملية المسح تتكون من طورين هما طور البحث و طور المسح وفي هذا الطور تتم عمليتين ثانويتين هما التحقق من النقطة الممسوحة ليزريا و عملية مطابقة المستوي ، أي أيجاد المسوتي الذي يحتوي على أكبر عدد من النقاط الممسوحة. أما الخطوة الأخيرة فهي التحقق من أبعاد النموذج المنتج فأذا كان ضمن الأبعاد و الدقة المسموحة يتم قبول النموذج و بعكسه يتم رفضه. لقد تم التحقق من الخوازرمية المقترحة بتطبيقها على سبع حالات من النماذج المنتجة أحداها كانت مطابقة لأبعاد الجسم القياسي حيث تم قبول هذا النموذج أما بقية الحالات كانت لنماذج مختلفة الأبعاد و قدم تم رفضها جميعا.

Abstract

AbstractThe real time of the computer graphics system performance is one of the fast many computing applications. The 3D (three-dimensional) geometric transformations are one of the most important principles of interactive computer graphics, which are essential for modeling, viewing and animation. This paper tends to construct a general form of a single matrix representation for multiple geometric transformations for three-dimensional objects. This way, a speed up factor of 1 to 5 can be gained. Architectureis designed, and implemented as a hardware unit, and then testedfor the single matrix transformation, using Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). الخلاصة إن متطلبات سرعة الأداء في مجال الرسوم الحاسوبية وتطبيقاتها في حالة تزايد مستمر حيث أن التحويلات الهندسية والتحريك في الفضاء ثلاثي الأبعاد تعتبر من إحدى أساسيات النمذجه والرؤيا وتوليد الصور المتحركة بالحاسوب . يقدم هذا البحث طريقة للتعبير عن عدد من التحويلات الهندسية للصور وتحريكها بتحويل واحد معبر عنه بمصفوفة عامة واحدة اختصارا حيث يؤدي ذلك إلى تسريع الأداء بمقدار 1 إلى 5مرات .تم تصميم معمارية بالكيان المادي وتنفيذها للغرض أعلاه باستخدام مصفوفة البوابات القابلة لإعادة البرمجة حقليا.

Abstract

Metal cutting processes still represent the largest class of manufacturing operations. Turning is the most commonly employed material removal process. This research focuses on analysis of the thermal field of the oblique machining process. Finite element method (FEM) software DEFORM 3D V10.2 was used together with experimental work carried out using infrared image equipment, which include both hardware and software simulations. The thermal experiments are conducted with AA6063-T6, using different tool obliquity, cutting speeds and feed rates. The results show that the temperature relatively decreased when tool obliquity increases at different cutting speeds and feed rates, also it is found that the mean tool rake face temperature distribution decreases with increase of tool obliquity. The result also show that the maximum error between the predicted and measured temperatures by IR camera was between 6-27 °C.

أﻥ ﺍﻏﻠﺏ ﺍﻟﻌﻤﻠﻴﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﺘﺼﻨﻴﻌﻴﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﺘﺸﻐﻴﻠﻴﺔ ﺘﻨﺠﺯ ﺒﺎﺴﺘﺨﺩﺍﻡ ﻤﻜﺎﺌﻥ ﺍﻟﺘﺸﻐﻴل ﺍﻟﻤﺨﺘﻠﻔﺔ,ﺤﻴﺙ ﺘﻤﺭﺍﻟﻤﺸﻐﻭﻻﺕ ﺒﺴﻠﺴﻠﺔ ﻤﻥ ﺍﻟﻌﻤﻠﻴﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﺘﺸﻐﻴﻠﻴﻪ ﺍﻟﻤﺨﺘﻠﻔﺔ ﺍﺒﺘﺩﺃ ﻤﻥ ﺍﻟﻤﺎﺩﺓ ﺍﻻﻭﻟﻴﻪ ﻭﺼﻭﻻ ﺍﻟﻰ ﺍﻟﻤﻨﺘﺞ ﺍﻟﻨﻬﺎﺌﻲ، ﻭﺘﻌﺘﺒﺭ الخراطه الاكثر استخداما في عمليات قطع المعادن, هذا البحث يركز على تحليل التوزيع الحراري خلال عمليات القطع المائل بأستخدام طريقه العناصر المحدده (FEM) وتطبيقها في برنامج DEFORM 3D V10.2 . تم استخدام ماده الالمنيوم AA6063-T6 بظروف تشغيل متعدده (سرع قطع, تغذيه, ميلان الاداه) .اظهرت نتائج القياسات الحراريه بالاشعه تحت الحمراء ذات الدقه العاليه بعد مقارنتها مع نتائج طريقه العناصر المحدده(FEM) انخفاض متوسط درجات الحراره عند وجه جرف الاداه عند زياده ميل الاداه عند سرعه قطع وتغذيه مختلفه,وكذلك اظهرت النتائج اعلى نسبه خطاء بين درجه الحراره المتوقعه والمقاسه بالكاميرا الحراريه يتراوح بين6-27 °C .

Abstract

3D technology is getting much popularity in the recent era of technology this is the technology in which we can see the image from different angles. Abstract

This research proposed vision measurement system which consists of a camera carried on hand of a robot, which captured 2D image to the object from two sides with a constant distance of the objects. To achieve this work several experimental steps are needed: First step includes calibrating the camera by using a standard block to find the best distance between the camera and the object.The best result of a distance is (410)mm. The second step consists of using MATLAB 7.12.0 (R2011a) program to achieve image processing to get some digital information (number of pixels in each row and column), using the proposed line by line scanning algorithm, to extract 2D object dimensions. The resulted dimensions are found closer to real object dimensions that are measured using a digital vernier and 3d digital probe. Last step includes 2D image manipulating using the proposed algorithms to reconstruct the 3D objects depending on the resulted information (number of pixels).

يقترح هذا البحث نظام القياس المرئي والذي يتضمن كاميرا محمولة على ذراع آلي, لالتقاط صورة ثنائية الابعاد لشكل من منظورين وبمسافة ثابتة من الجسم المراد التقاط الصورة له. ولانجاز هذا العمل نحتاج الى عدة خطوات عملية :الخطوة الاولى تتضمن معايرة الكاميرا بواسطة استخدام قالب قياسي لايجاد المسافة المطلوبة بين الكاميرا والجسم, افضل بعد ناتج هو (410) ملم.الخطوة الثانية تتضمن استخدام برنامج الماتلاب 7.12.0 R2011a)) لانجاز معالجة الصورة للحصول على بعض المعلومات الرقمية (عدد عناصر الصورة في كل صف وعمود), استخدام الخوارزمية المقترحة بمسح كل خط, للحصول على ابعاد الجسم ثنائي الأبعاد . الابعاد التي تم الحصول عليها هي اقرب الى الابعاد الحقيقية التي تم قياسها بواسطة قدمة القياس الرقمية (the digital vernier) ومجس رقمي ثلاثي الابعاد 3D Digital Probe)).الخطوة الاخيرة تتضمن المعاملة على صورة ثنائية الابعاد باستخدام الخوارزميات المقترحة لاعادة تكوين الاجسام الثلاثية الابعاد بالاعتماد على المعلومات الناتجة (عدد عناصر الصورة).

Abstract

In this research was to propose a new way to hide data from the text in the tri-dimensional images type depending on the geometric style is proposed, this can be done via the manipulation of the location of the (vertex) in most areas of softness in the triangular object dimensions of any of the many details areas so we make sure not to detect the presence of the data eye human. The experimental results showed, a high rate of failure note the presence of hidden data depending on the scale "RMS" Tripartite-dimensional images, and the way showed good resistance to the types of geometric attack such as "translation"," rotation" and "scaling" and out where he was retrieving a full hidden data without any destruction and this is what boosted "BER".

Abstract

The aim of study is to evaluate the linear dimensional changes (cross arch, antero–posterior dimensions) of impressions and die stone casts of two brands of addition silicone impression materials (Express and President) for special master model using two–steps (putty–wash) technique, at different storage times before pouring of impression, by using of three dimensional measuring machine and to compare between the accuracy of the two brands of impression materials. The results indicated that a significant difference between the interabutment distances of impression and die stone casts. The Express impression materials produce the most accurate results. There is slightly increase in interabutment distances of stone casts. At one hour storage time there are the smallest dimensional changes of impressions and stone casts in relation to construction of complete–arch fixed partial denture.

Abstract

Patients with restricted mouth opening are a common occurrence in prosthodontic practice. Sectional impression technique was simplified manipulation and decreased patient's trauma. The aim of study is to compare between the impression done by using sectional and full arch stock trays, and to evaluate volumetric changes in the abutments of partially edentulous arch and the linear dimensional changes between the abutments of stone casts at different intervals of time.The measurements were done by using 3D (IOTA 1203, DEA) machine on (80) die stone casts prepared after taking an impression (two-step technique) of hand mix Dorisil and Supersil addition silicone impression materials using a special mold and test apparatus.There was low significance in the volumetric differences among casts produced from sectional stock trays in relation to that produced from full arch stock trays. Little linear dimensional changes between abutments of casts prepared from sectional stock tray of an average 0.031mm were found. According to these results, sectional trays can be used instead of full arch trays in clinical cases of restricted mouth opening.
