Abstract

background: Choledochoduodenostomy (CDD) is the operative procedure for choledocholithiasis in the presence of a dilated common bile duct (CBD). It has been reported as the most effective procedure of CBD stones than T-tube drainage.Aim: To evaluate the outcome of Choledochoduodenostomy in our center.Patients and Methods: This is a prospective study to assess the aforementioned issues analyzing our seven years (March 2001-June 2008) experience in Al-Kadhimiyah Teaching Hospital.CDD was performed in 13 patients (12 female: 1 male) with age between 40-60 years.Results & discussion: CBD stones were the only indication in all patients with associated cholecystitis, in 12 patients (92.2%) and biliary colic in 1 patient (7.7%) for recurrent stones. Abdominal sonogram showed dilated CBD with single or multiple stones. The diameter of CBD varies from 15-30 mm with stone size being ranged from 10-25 mm.No early post-operative complication. Only one patient had recurrent cholangitis (sump syndrome).Conclusion: CDD is highly effective treatment of choledocholithiasis in all age group with low morbidity and mortality provided a wide anastomosis is accomplished.

Abstract

Thin films of CdS were deposited on glass substrates using a chemical bath deposition technique from aqueous solutions of Cadmium sulfate (CdS) and thiouria. The films grown from the bath are uniform and adherent, have a high transmittance in the visible region. The CdS films properties studied include optical transmission, optical constant, dielectric constant, optical conductivity, and band gaps. The films in this study produced fairly high transmission (> 86% between 500 and 900). Band gaps of (2.4 eV) for direct transition were obtained. Such films could be used as photocells and other photoconductive devices, thin film transistors and diodes, piezoelectric ultrasonic transducers and amplifiers, piezoelectric acoustic resonators and electron beam-pumped lasers.

في هذا البحث تم ترسيب الاغشية الرقيقة لكبريتيد الكادميوم على قواعد من الزجاج بأستعمال تقنية الترسيب بالحمام الكيميائي من محلول مائي لكبريتيد الكادميوم (CdS) والثايوريا. الاغشية المحضرة تمتاز بكونها منتظمة ،ذات التصاقية وتمتلك نفاذية عالية في المنطقة المرئية . الدراسة التي تمت لأغشية كبريتيد الكادميوم تتضمن النفاذية البصرية، الثابت البصري ،ثابت العزل الكهربائي ،التوصيلية الضوئية ،فجوة الطاقة . الاغشية التي تمت دراستها في هذا البحث لها نفاذية عالية تصل الى اكبر من 86% لأطوال موجية تتراوح بين (500نانومتر الى 900نانومتر) وفجوة الطاقة 2.4 الكترون فولت.

Abstract

Sb2S3 thin films have been prepared by chemical bath deposition on a glas sub Absorbance and transmittance spectra were recorded in the wavelength range (30-900) nm. The effects of thickness on absorption coefficient, reflectance, refractive index, extinction coefficient, real and imaginary parts of dielectric constant were estimated. It was found that the reflectivity, absorption coefficient , extinction coefficient, real part of dielectric constant and refractive index, all these parameters decrease as the thickness increased, while the imaginary part of the dielectric constant increase as the thickness increased.

حضرت أغشية رقيقة من كبريتيد الانتمون بالترسيب بالحمام الكيميائي على قواعد زجاجية.سجل طيفي الامتصاصية والنفاذية لمدى الطول الموجي (300-900) nm. تم دراسة تأثير السمك على معامل الامتصاص، الانعكاسية، معامل الانكسار، معامل الخمود، ثابت العزل الكهربائي بجزئيه الحقيقي والخيالي.لقد وجد بان الانعكاسية ، معامل الامتصاص، الجزء الحقيقي من ثابت العزل الكهربائي ومعامل الانكسار ، تقل بزيادة السمك بينما ثابت العزل الخيالي يزداد.

Abstract

Thin films of cadmium sulfide have been deposited by chemical bath deposition.The effect of temperature and time deposition on spectral responsivity for CdSphotoconductive investigation. The effect of temperature bath and time depositionwhere study. Linearity response of photoconductive detector were carry on analyzingthe light current with incident power curves. The results show that high spectral nonsaturated responsivity was achieved, further the detector were manufacture with lowcost.

حضرت أغشية كبريتيد الكادميوم بطريقة الترس يب بالحمام الكيميائي . إذ درس تأثير درجة حرارةوكذلك درس تأ ثير .CdS الحمام وزمن الترسيب على الاستجابة الطيفية لكاشف التوصيلية الضوئيةدرجة حرارة الحمام وزمن الترسيب على الاستجابة الخطية لكاشف التوصيلية الضوئية بتحليل منحنياتالتيار الضوئي مع القدرة الساقطة . حيث أبدى الكاشف المصنع بأقل كلفة استجابة عالية واستجابة خطيةدون حصول أي استقرارية للتيار الضوئي مع القدرة الساقطة.

Abstract

Sb2S3 thin films have been prepared using chemical bath deposition .these films were annealed fordifferent temperatures 373, 473 k. Absorbance and transmittance spectra were recorded in the wavelength range (300-900) nm. the nature of electronic transitions was determined, it was found that these films have direct allowed transitionwith an optical energy gap of 1.72, 1.76, 1.82 eV before and after annealing respectively. the extinction coefficient,refractive index, real and imaginary part of dielectric constant were also measured before and after annealing.

373 . سجل طیفي النفاذیة k, 473k حضرت أغشیة كبریتید الانتمون بطریقة الترسیب بالحمام الكیمیائي. لدنت هذه الأغشیة بدرجات ح ا ررة مختلفة300-900 . حددت طبیعة الانتقال الالكتروني والتي وجد بانها ذات انتقال مباشر مسموح وبفجوة nm والامتصاصیة قبل وبعد التلدین لمدى الاطوال الموجیة1.82 قبل وبعد التلدین على التعاقب. تم كذلك حساب قیم معامل الخمود، معامل الانكسار، ثابت العزل الحقیقي , 1.76, 1.72 eV طاقة بصري مقدارهاوالخیالي قبل وبعد التلدین.

Abstract

Chemical bath deposition method was used to prepared PbSnanocrystalline thin films. lrad acetate and lead nitrate were used as asources of lead ions Pb2* in solution and thiuoria as a source to sulfurions 52- . PbS thin films have been deposited at room temperature and335K with different lead ions source molarity (0.05,0.1 and 0.15M).Study the struchre properties of prepared thin films by X-raydiffraction shows that all films were polycrystalline and possessedcubic skucture. Optical energy gaps of films were calculated dependingon the effective mass models and found that the optical energy gapincreased with decreasing in gra.in size of cryntal and the values werc inrange(0.62- 1.29)eV.

Abstract

Highly photosensitive CdS thin films with photocurrent to dark current ratio (Iph/Id) of ~105 under 300W.m-2 illumination were reported. The films are prepared by an electroless chemical deposition technique. The pH value of the solution used in the electroless deposition of cadmium sulfide thin films has been found to affect the deposition rate, optical transmission, photoconductivity, photoconductivity to dark conductivity ratio Cph/Cd and photocurrent decay time.

Abstract

Abstract

Thin films of zinc sulphide have been prepared by chemical bath deposition in alkaline ammonia solutions from zinc acetate and thiourea, using successive depositions. The obtained films are amorphous. Air annealing did not improve the optical properties of the films with a too large number of layers.
