Abstract

Metadata efficient method for managing Data Warehouse (DW). It is also an effective tool in reducing the time or speed to answer queries. In addition, it achieved capabilities of the integration and standardization, thus lead to faster, clear and accurate decision-making in the right time. This paper provides the definition of metadata concept, and using metadata in Data Cleaning; which it identify the sources, types of fields, and choose the appropriate algorithm. In addition, useful in Decision Support System (DSS); which it improve efficiency of analysis and reduces response time of query

الميتاداتا طريقة كفوءة لإدارة مستودع البيانات (DW). وهي اداة فعالة في تخفيض الوقت وتسريع الاجابة عن الاستفسارات. بالإضافة الى ذلك، تنجز قابليات التكامل وتوحيد المقاييس، هذا يؤدي الى تسريع اتخاذ القرار الدقيق والواضح في الوقت الصحيح. يزود هذا البحث تعريف مفهوم الميتاداتا، واستعمال هذا المفهوم في تنظيف البيانات، التي تميز المصادر، وأنواع الحقول، وتختار الخوارزمية الملائمة. بالإضافة الى ذلك، فائدة الميتاداتا في نظام مساندة القرار (DSS)، والتي تحسن كفاءة التحليل وتخفض وقت الاجابة عن الاستفسار.

Abstract

Recently, a huge number of the private universities and colleges are established in the Iraq, most of them are located in Baghdad. The students who are candidates to enrolin such universities/colleges and their families usually are confused and/or uncertain about deciding which university/college is the most suitable one for them. Modern technologies can assist to facilitate this selection process based on the requirements that can be assigned by students and/or their families with the fewest simple steps. Therefore, this paperstrives to design a system that achieves this purpose. The proposed system includes direct features where the normal users (students or their families) can use it without any difficulty

Abstract

This work is concerned with introducing new methods and techniques for the projects management In construction industry. This research suggest that the Iraqi engineering staff, who work in construction sector, have a poor knowledge about the subject of Decision Support System (D.S.S.)in spite of that this subject have a wide uses in construction companies in the world. So the researcher presents this study to introduce and to increase the knowledge about the concept of decision Support System.This research consist of the questionnaire process for construction companies, then the research use The questionnaire results in building a proposed Decision Support System, also the questionnaire Process indicate the relation between the decision structure and the organizational levels. The results obtained from the questionnaire process shows that there is a requirement for Decision support System in cost control decisions support. So the researcher build a Decision Support system for cost control process which can be used by the planner and estimator for different types of projects. The researcher also applies and evaluates the proposed system in some Iraqi construction companies. The application and evaluation process recommended the needs for applying the Decision Support System for project management in construction companies.

يتعلق هذا العمل البحثي بتقديم الطرائق والتقنيات الحديثة للإدارة مشاريع الصناعة الإنشائية.يفترض البحث ان الكادر الهندسي العراقي، الذي يعمل في قطاع الإنشاءات، لديه معرفة قليلة حول موضوع نظام دعم القرار بالرغم من أن هذا الموضوع له استخدامات عديدة في شركات الإنشاء في العالم. لذلك يقدم الباحث هذه الدراسة لإدخال وزيادة المعرفة حول مفهوم نظام دعم القرار.يضم البحث عملية استبيان لشركات الإنشاء، يقوم الباحث بعدها باستخدام نتائج الاستبيان في تطبيق نظام دعم قرار مقترح، كما تؤشر عملية الاستبيان العلاقة بين هيكلية القرار والمستويات الإدارية. لقد بينت نتائج عملية الاستبيان الحاجة إلى نظام دعم القرار في قرارات السيطرة الكلفوية. لذلك قام الباحث ببناء نظام دعم قرار للسيطرة الكفولية والذي يمكن استخدامه من قبل المخططين والمخمنين لمختلف أنواع المشاريع الإنشائية. كما قام الباحث بتطبيق وتقويم النظام المقترح في بعض شركات الإنشاء العراقية

Abstract

The increasing number of orphans and their organizations and institutes in our community makes it increasingly important to design and develop an expert system that supports decisions concerning orphans and their families. This system can be used by any orphans organization to facilitate its work. The proposed work is designed to manage the Orphans and Families of Martyrs of Terrorism Expert System (OFMTES) by registry all information about all orphans to display mostly orphan deserves bill, data is entered for each orphan, and with each entry a counter is increased according to this input information; the output result represents the score for that orphan. Different orphans have different scores. Coloring is used to know the degree of orphans merit; that is, when background color of that text is red this means that the orphan does not deserve bill, when the color is yellow this means that the orphan deserves bill but in little ratio, when the color is blue this means that the orphan deserves bill but in more ratio from blue, and when the color is green this orphan is mostly deserves bill.The program was implemented using Microsoft office access 2003 and visual basic programming language, and can be executed using Pentium two or more computer.

ان ازدياد عدد الايتام والمنظمات والمؤسسات المهتمة بهم في مجتمعنا جعلت من الضروري تصميم وتطوير نظام خبير يدعم القرارات المتعلقة بالايتام وعوائلهم. هذا النظام يمكن ان يستخدم من قبل اي منظمة للايتام لتسهيل عملها. النظام المقترح لادارة الامور المتعلقة بايتام وأسر شهداء الارهاب وذلك عن طريق ادخال كافة المعلومات المتعلقة بهم ومن ثم عرض الايتام الاكثر استحقاقا للمعونة المادية، اذ يتم ادخال المعلومات الخاصة بكل يتيم ومع كل عملية ادخال يتم زيادة عداد بحسب المعلومات المدخلة والنتيجة تمثل درجة الاستحقاق لهذا اليتيم. حيث يختلف الايتام بدرجة استحقاقهم للمعونات. لذا يتم استخدام الوان لمعرفة مدى حالة اليتيم للاستحقاق. فعندما يكون لون خلفية الكتابة لهذا اليتيم هو اللون الاحمر فهذا يدل على ان اليتيم لا يحتاج للمعونة. واذا كان اللون هو الاصفر فهذا يعني ان اليتيم بحاجة الى المعونة ولكن بنسبة ضئيلة. واللون الازرق يدل على ان اليتيم يستحق المعونة ولكن بنسبة اعلى من الايتام ذوي اللون الاصفر. اما اللون الاخضر فيدل على ان اليتيم يستحق المعونة وبصورة ملحة. تم تطبيق النظام باستخدام لغة برمجة فيجيوال بيسك ومايكروسوفت اوفس 2003 ويمكن ان ينفذ على حاسبة من نوع بنتيوم2 فما فوق.

Abstract

For achieving successful projects, effective planning and scheduling should be taken into consideration besides reaching an accepted balance among project objectives. As a result, this research focuses on attaining an effective balancing among a set of objectives that are time, cost, and number of laborers. The purpose of this research is to solve the problem of multi-objective project using multi-technique in a best possible way that accommodate with the nature of project activities. This aim is achieved by facilitating the accuracy of decision taking throughout choosing the best technique among group of techniques used in project planning and control these are; Gantt chart, crashing technique. These techniques are utilized to achieve many objectives. A new mixed approach named as Concurrency-Partitioning and Crashing Techniques (CPCT) has been suggested. In order to overcome the conflicting that might occurs among these objectives, Fuzzy Decision Support System (FDSS) is employed based on fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision Making method (fuzzy MCDM). The results showed that mixed approach (CPCT) was the best one that achieved multi-objective with best balancing. Both of project time and cost have decreased by 19.5% and 2.6% respectively, while the total number of laborers had increased by 8.8%.
