Abstract

The use of fluorescence microscopy for imaging biomedical specimens has been expanded into all fields of diagnosis for different kinds of viruses , three viruses were imaged and diagnosed by the fluorescence microscope at Al-Sadr teaching hospital at Kufa city . The human metapneumo viruse hMPV , the respiratory syncytial viruse RSV and the measles chicken emberyo fibroblast viruse have been imaged and diagnosed by the fluorescence microscope in Al-SADR Educational hospital at Kufa city . Three types of dyes were added to the specimen solutions separately ,Rhodamine B , Fluorescene and Evans blue in order to obtain high resolution and contrast images. The absorption and fluorination spectra of these dyes were measured by EUV-visible spectrophotometer and fluorospectrophotometer respectively .

Abstract

The verse (35) in SURA (AL- Nur) in the HOLY QURAN has inspired the author to look into the possibility of using Olive Oil as active dye laser material. Olive Oil which is classified as organic compound, having a good properties candidate it to be used as active dye laser material. The emission spectrum diagrams at some of absorption peaks (414, 536, 632 and 670) nm will be measured. These diagrams have been used to determine the Fluorescence quantum yield, Oscillator strength, Einstein coefficients for the spontaneous emission, Radiative and Fluorescence lifetime and absorption and cross sections. It has been found that fluorescence occurs at 669 nm for the entire absorption spectrum. Fluorescence of Olive Oil has been experimented using 30mW, 532nm semiconductor laser, with a beam diameter of 1.3mm. Red fluorescence has been noticed over a distance of 7cm in a glass container.

Abstract

In the present work, poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA) doped with Rhodamine 6G was prepared. The spectral properties (absorption and fluorescence) of the films were studied at different concentrations (1x10-5, 2x10-5, 5x10-5, 7x10-5, and 1x10-4mol/l). The investigated samples were made in the form of thin films. This was achieved by dissolving a certain weight of PMMA in a fixed volume of chloroform, composite films was with thickness (25.8μm) at room temperature. The achieved results were pointed out that absorption and fluorescence spectra have taken a wide spectral rang so when increased the concentration each peak shift toward along wavelength. The quantum efficiency of the films were calculated as follows (98%,89%,84%,83% and 76%) for the above concentrations respectively. It has been noticed that the quantum efficiency decreases as the concentrations increases.

في هذا البحث تمت دراسة بولي مثيل ميثا اكرليت (PMMA) المطعم بصبغة الرودامين ( 6G ). وتمت دراسة الخصائص الطيفية ( الامتصاص والفلورة) لأغشية صبغة الرودامين (6G) المطعمة ببوليمرمثيل ميثا اكرليت وبتراكيز مختلفة ( 1x10-5, 2x10-5,5x10-5,7x10-5and 1x10-4mol/litter ). حضرت النماذج التي تمت دراستها كأغشية رقيقة وذلك من خلال أذابة وزن معين من (PMMA) في حجم ثابت من الكلوروفورم وبسمك (25.8 µm ) وبدرجة حرارة الغرفة.النتائج المنجزة تشير الى ان لهذه الاغشية طيفيا امتصاص وفلورة يمتد الى منطقة طيفية واسعة اذ بزيادة التركيز تنزاح القمم نحوالاطوال الموجية الطويلة.وتم حساب الكفاءة الكمية لأغشية صبغة الرودامين6G)) المطعمة وللتراكيز ( 98% and 89%، 84%، 83% ،76%) على التوالي وقد لوحظ نقصان في الكفاءة الكمية مع زيادة التركيز.

Abstract

Abstract The behavior of the absorption and fluorescence emission processes for some bis-1, 3, 4-oxadiazole sulphonyl compounds were studied in toluene, ethanol and di-methyl sulfoxide solvents. Fluorescence quenching processes of the compound bis- [2, 2/-5 ethyl sulphonyl-1, 3,4-oxadiazole]-1,4-butane, (4-Et), in toluene and ethanol using benzonitrile and benzophenone quenchers were studied too. The complex quenching mechanism of 4-Et by benzophenone, according to the obtained data, was proposed.

الخلاصه سلوك عمليات الأمتصاص والأنبعاث الضوئي لعدد من مركبات 4,3,1, -أوكسادايزول سلفون قد تمت دراسته في مذيبات التولوين ، الأيثانول وثنائي مثيل سلفوكسايد .كما درست عمليات تثبيط فلورة المركب ثنائي ] 2-2 - 5 –أثيل سلفونيل- 4,3,1 –أوكسادايزول [ -4,1 بيوتان، ( 4-Et )، في مذيب الأيثانول بأستعمال مثبط البنزوفينون ، وفي مذيب التولوين مع المثبط- البنزونايترايل . وفي ضوء النتائج المستحصله من التثبيط تم اقتراح ميكانيكيه لعملية تثبيط فلورة المركب ( 4-Et ) عند تسحيحه بمحلول البنزوفينون .

Abstract

The interelement effects of Ag-Cu-Ti Ternary system was studied by x-ray fluorescence toobtain the concentration of each element accurately. Ternary compacted of high pure metals of Ag-Cu-Ti as a green pellets were prepared. Wavelength dispersive technique was used to measure thefluorescent intensities of ternary system at the same operation condition. The intensities of theternary elements in the spectrum were non-linearly related to concentration of each element due tothe absorption and enhancement effects. Ag absorbs x-ray fluorescence of Ti more than Cu. Binaryinfluence coefficients were obtained from the values of relative intensities to calculate the elementalconcentration of ternary system using BB (Bettie – Berssey) algorithm

درست التأثيرات البينية للنظام الثلاثي فضة- نحاس-تيتانيوم بوساطة تقنية الاشعة السينية المتفلورة للحصولعلى تراكيز العناصر المكونة للنظام بدقة اكبر. تم تحضيرعينات مكبوسة من النظام الثلاثي المكون من فضة، نحاس،تيتانيوم على شكل اقراص طرية. تم قياس الشدات المتألقةللنظام الثلاثي بواسطة تقنية تشتت الاطوال الموجية وفقشروط تشغيل ثابتة. تبين ان علاقة الشدة مع التركيز هيليست خطية بسبب تأثيرات الامتصاص والتقوية ، حيثيتبين ان تأثيرامتصاص الفضة للاشعة المتفلورة الناتجةعن التيتانيوم يكون اكثر من امتصاصها للاشعة المتفلورةالناتجة عن النحاس. تم استخدام معامل التأثير للنظام الثنائيمن قيم الشدات النسبية لحساب تراكيز العناصر بشكل اكثر.(BB) ( دقة باستخدام خوارزميات (بيتي – بيرسي

Abstract

New polymer Poly Crystal Violet Terephthalate (PCVT) was synthesis by condensationpolymerization of Crystal Violet dye with Terphthalic acid in acidic medium .The polymer wascharacterized by several technique such as FT-IR spectroscopy , 1H NMR spectroscopy , X-Raydiffraction (XRD) and Fluorescence technique . Curing study of new polymer was carried out byDifferential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) under Nitrogen gas, the optimum conditions of curing wereobtained like curing temperature ,the curing energy and the activation energy of curing (ΔE).Theseanalysis indicated the correct composition of polymer .From DSC curve indicate that the reaction typeExothermic ,also the Fluorescence spectrum of polymer indicate that there are large change ofemission wavelength with high intensity as compare with dye only .So the new polymer can be use inapplications of light emitting diodes

تم تحضير نوع جديد من البوليمرات من خلال تكثيف حامض التيرفثالك مع صبغة الكريستال البنفسجية في وسطحامضي وقد تم تشخيص البوليمر الجديد بوساطة تقنيات عدة منها طيف الأشعة تحت الحمراء والرنين النووي المغناطيسيوالأشعة السينية وتقنية التفلور.درست عملية التقسية بوساطة تقنية المسح التفاضلي ألمسعري وتحت جو متحرك من النتروجين وتم تحديد الظروفالمثلى لعملية التصلب مثل درجات حرارة التقسية وطاقة التصلب وطاقة التنشيط. أثبتت الدراسة من خلال التشخيصالطيفي صحة الترآيب المقترح ومن دراسة منحنى المسح التفاضلي ألمسعري أن التفاعل من النوع الباعث للحرارة وآذلكاثبت طيف التفلور إن هناك تغير آبير في طول موجي الانبعاث وبشدة عالية جدا عما هو عليه في دراسة أطياف التفلورللصبغة وعليه يمكن مبدئيا استخدام البوليمر الجديد في تطبيقات الثنائيات الباعثة للضوء

Abstract

In this work, absorption and fluorescence spectra of R6G and RB laser dyes were studied. Different concentrations of (1-4)x10-6 mole/liter were used to solve these dyes in an organic solvent such as ethanol. Absorption spectrum of n→S* transition was determined as well as fluorescence spectrum in presence and absence of O2. It was observed that presence of O2 did not affect absorption spectra of both dyes because it has no absorption in the range studied. On the other side, intensity of fluorescence increased as O2 was removed from solvent in both cases of ethanol. Presence of O2 affects fluorescence quantum efficiency and lifetime due to collision with dye molecules. Finally, it was declared that the effect of O2 decreases as the concentration does. This may be attributed to the decrease in collision probability between O2 and dye molecules.

Abstract

There are Several technological revolutions underway which apply to much of biology like Structural imaging, Functional imaging, Patterned photo-stimulation and Super-resolution techniques which is can use for recording activity from many parts of single neuron in vivo or many neurons in vivo. 2-Photon Microscopy and Linked Optical Methods for Imaging Neurons can give Imaging deep within non-transparent living tissue such as brain….Two-photon fluorescence microscopy allows three-dimensional imaging of biological specimens in vivo. Compared with confocal microscopy, it offers the advantages of deeper tissue diffusion and less photo damage but has the disadvantage of slightly lower resolution. Two-photon microscopy is expected to have an impact in areas such as physiology, neurobiology, embryology andtissue engineering, for which imaging of extremely scattering tissue is required. I am trying strive to meet the challenge offered by the chance to ask questions about the workings of as cell that we never thought we could answer, we need to be aware that the new technologies are still evolving. The current limitations of each technique need to be measured when identical them to specific biological requests. In this review, we briefly describe the principles of super-resolution optical microscopy and focus on comparing the features of each technique that are significant for their use in learning nanosensing in the cellular microenvironment.

هناك العديد من الثورات التكنولوجية الجارية التي تطبق على الكثير من الأحياء مثل التصوير الهيكلي، والتصوير الوظيفي، نمطالتصوير المحفز والتقنيات فائقة الوضوح التي يمكن استخدامها لتسجيل النشاط في أجزاء كثيرة من الخلايا العصبية المايكروسكوبثنائي الفوتون وما يتصل به من طرق التصوير الضوئية تعطينا القدرة على التصوير في أعماق الأنسجةالحية غير الشفافة مثل الدماغ.المايكروسكوب ثنائي الفوتون الومضي )الفلورسنت ( يسمح بالتصوير ثلاثي الابعاد للعينات البيولوجية في الجسم الحي بالمقارنة معالمجهر متحد البؤرة ، فإنه يوفر مزايا القابلية على اختراق الأنسجة بشكل أعمق وأقل ضرر على الصورة ولكن لديه عيب يتمثل فيحصول انخفاض طفيف في الوضوح . ومن المتوقع ان يكون لمجهر ثنائي الفوتون مساحة تأثير في مجالات مثل علم وظائفالأعضاء، علم الأعصاب، علم الأجنة و هندسة الأنسجة، والتي تطلب مسح وتصوير عدد كبير من الانسجة المتناثرة . وانا اسعىجاهدا لمحاولة الاجابة على الاسئلة التي تطرح حول طريقة معرفة عمل الخلية والذي لا نزال نحتاج للمزيد لتحديد الاجابة ، حيثاننا بحاجة إلى أن ندرك أن التكنولوجيات الجديدة ما زالت تتطور و تحتاج لأخذ القيود الموجودة لكل تقنية لأخذها في الاعتبار عندAl-Qadisiya Journal For Engineering Sciences, Vol. 8……No. 2 ….2015121استعمالها للإجابة على أسئلة بيولوجية محددة . في هذا الاستعراض، وصفنا مبادئ عمل المجهر الضوئي فائق الوضوح والتركيز علىالمقارنة بينه خصائصه مع كل تقنية والتي تعتبر مهمة لاستخدامها في دراسة الاستشعار النانوية في بيئة الخلية الميكروية .

Abstract

In this work, the energy transfer characteristics in binary lasing dye mixtures were studied by the measurements of fluorescence spectra using two different techniques at room and low temperatures. The binary lasing dye mixtures were made from acriflavine (donor) and red nut (accepter) dyes dissolved in two different solvents at different concentrations. These characteristics were determined throughout the variation of some related parameters, such as the fluorescence intensities of donor in the absence and the presence of acceptor (ID/IDA), the half quenching concentration (A1/2) and the critical transfer distance (R0), with accepter (red nut) concentration at different concentrations of prepared solutions. Results showed that both ID/IDA and R0 increased with acceptor concentration while A1/2 decreased with increasing acceptor concentration. Also, the monomer sample in ethanol exhibited higher values of all three parameters (ID/IDA, R0 and A1/2) with respect to those obtained from monomer in methanol at certain concentration. The minimum value of R0 was measured in 10-5 M/L monomer sample in methanol at accepter concentration of 10-5 ml.

Abstract

The aim of this work was to investigate the photophysical behavior of polystyrene solutions under the effect of different solvents at different concentrations .Testband at 262 nm. There was no effect of solvents and concentration on the position of the maximum absorption wavelength. The data show that a strong dependence between absorbance intensity and concentration. Polystyrene in chloroform, cyclohexane and dichloromethane showed fluorescence monomer emission at 296nm. Excimer emissions were recorded for polystyrene in chloroform, cyclohexane, dichloromethane and tetrahydrofuran at 307nm, 325nm, 327nm and 330nm respectively. Solvents have effect on the fluorescence quantum yield magnitude, where highest value of it had been recorded in cyclohexane (55%)
