(4R)-2, 3-(2`-chloro-2`- carboxyl)-1, 3-dioxolano-4- (2- dimethyl –dioxolane -yl) ascorbic acid (HL), a derivative of L-ascorbic acid was prepared by the reaction of 5,6-O-isopropylidene–L-ascorbic acid with trichloroacetic acid in alkaline medium. Seven new metal ion complexes of this ligand (HL) were prepared through its direct reaction with the chlorides of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) ions respectively. The new ligand and its ion metal complexes were characterized applying elemental analyses,1H and 13C NMR, IR as well as UV-Visible spectra. Spectroscopic data showed that the ligand (C11H11O8Cl) was coordinated to the metal ions through the two oxygen atoms of the carboxyl group as abidentate ligand. Electrical conductivity and magnetic measurements were done at room temperature. Based on the obtained analytical data, the following molecular formulas for the prepared complexes are suggested; {[M(L)2(H2O)2]. xH2O where x = 0 for Mn(II), Ni(II), Cu(II);x = 2 for Co(II)}; [M(L)Cl(H2O)3] for Zn(II) and Cd(II); and [Hg(L)ClH2O]. Octahedral geometry is suggested for all the complexes, except for the (Hg) complex which shows a tetrahedral geometry. Theoretical calculations of the molecular structure of the new ligand (HL) and its metal complexes were carried out too, applying the semi-empirical computation methods PM3 and PM6.The calculation results confirmed the suggested structures of all complexes.

حضرالمشتق (( 4R)- 3,2 (2`-كلورو - `2- كاربوكسيل) -3,1- داي أوكسولانو -4-( 2- داي مثيل - داي أوكسولان- يل) حامض الاسكوربك (ليكاند HL ( كمشتق جديد لحامض الاسكوربك وذلك من تفاعل 6,5- ايزوبروبيليدين –L- حامض الاسكوربك مع ثلاثي كلورو حامض الخليك في وسط قاعدي . حضرت سبعة معقدات جديدة لليكاند HL من تفاعله المباشرمع كلوريدات بعض العناصر الفلزية والتي تشمل ايونات المنغنيز، الكوبلت، النيكل، النحاس، الزنك، الكادميوم والزئبق الثنائية .شخصت تراكيب الليكاند الجديد HL ومعقداته الفلزية بأعتماد تقنية التحليل الدقيق للعناصر,الرنين النووي المغناطيسي 1H، 13C، اطياف الاشعة تحت الحمراء والاشعة فوق البنفسجية- المرئية. بينت النتائج الطيفية بأن الليكاند HL(C11H11O8Cl) يسلك سلوك ثنائي السن ويتناسق مع الايون الفلزي من خلال ذرتي الاوكسجين لمجموعة الكاربوكسيل . أجريت كل من قياسات التوصيلية الكهربائية و المغناطيسية في درجة حرارة الغرفة ووفقا للنتائج المستحصلة فقد أقترحت الصيغ الجزيئية للمعقدات المحضرة: [M(L)2(H2O)2]. xH2O حيث x = 0 , M = Mn (II) , Ni (II) , Cu (II) ; x = 2 , M = Co (II) ] M(L) Cl 3 (H2O) [ , M = Zn (II) و Cd (II) ; ] Hg (L) H2OCl [ . وبشكل ثماني السطوح لجميع المعقدات الفلزية ماعدا معقد الزئبق في شكل رباعي السطوح. اجريت الدراسة النظرية للليكاند الجديد HL ومعقداته الفلزية بطريقة الشبه التجريبية Semi-empirical PM6 , PM3 والتي اثبتت الأشكال الهندسية المقترحة لجميع المعقدات الفلزية المحضرة .

The reaction of L-ascorbic acid with the tirchloroacetic acid in the presence of potassium hydroxide gave new productBis[O,O-2,3;O,O-5,6(chlorocarboxylicmethyliden)]L-ascorbic acid (H2L)which was isolated and characterized by 1H,13C-NMR, elemental analysis (C,H,N), UV-Visible and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR). The complexes of the ligand (H2L) with metal ions, M+2= (Cu, Co, Ni, Cd and Hg) were synthesized and characterized by FTIR, UV-Visible, molar conductance, atomic absorption, magnetic susceptibility and the molar ratio. The analysis evidence showed the binding of the metal ions with (H2L) through the bicarboxylato group manner resulting in six-coordinated metal ion.The TLC for (H2L) and complexes showed one spot for each indicating the purity of these compounds.

أعطى تفاعل –Lحامض الاسكوربك مع ثلاثي كلورو حامض الخليك بوجود هيدروكسيد البوتاسيوم ناتجاً جديداً هو ثنائي6,5-O,O;3,2-O,O])كلورو كاربوكسلك مثيليدينL [(- حامض الاسكوربك (L ), فصل الناتج و شخص بوساطة التقنيات الاتية تحليل العناصر (H,C,N), و الاشعة تحت الحمراء, و الاشعة فوق البنفسجية-المرئية, وطيف الرنين النووي المغناطيسي – البروتون H1و الكاربون C13. باستخدامه حضرت وشخصت معقدات املاح بعض ايونات العناصر الثنائية التكافؤ Co, Ni, Cu, Cd)و (Hgباستخدام تقنيات الاشعة تحت الحمراء, والاشعة فوق البفسجية-المرئية , والتوصيلية الكهربائية , والامتصاصية الذرية, والحساسية المغناطيسية , والنسبة المولية. واستنتج من التحاليل ان تناسق الايونات الفلزية الثنائية التكافؤ مع اللكند (H2L) ثم من خلال مجموعتي الكربوكسيل معطياً ايون الفلز سداسي التناسق, أظهرت كرومتوكرافيا الطبقة الرقيقة(TLC) ان اللكند (L ) ومعقداته الفلزية هي مركبات نقية.

Abstract New Schiff bases derivatives [IV]a-e is prepared via condensation of D-erythroascorbic acid with p-substituted aldehydes in dry benzene. To obtain these derivatives, the 5,6-O-isopropylidene-L-ascorbic acid[I] was chosen as starting material, compound prepared from the reaction of L-ascorbic acid as starting material. Compound[I] was prepared from the reaction of L-ascorbic acid with dry acetone in the presence of hydrogen chloride. The esterification of hydroxyl groups at C-2 and C-3 positions with excess ofethyl α –chloroacetate in the presence of sodium acetate produce acorresebonding ester [II] , which was condensed with hydrazine hydrate to give new hydrazide [III] . The new Schiff bases [IV]a-e were synthesized by reaction of acid hydrizide with different p-substituted benzaldehyde in dry benzene . The new 1,3-oxazepine derivatives [V]a-ewere obtained by Diels-Alder reaction of Schiff bases with phthalic anhydride in dry benzene (Scheme 1) . All the synthesized compounds have been characterized by melting points , FTIR and 1HMNR (of some of theme) spectroscopy. The biological activity of synthesized compounds was examined against two types of bacteria; G(+) and G(-).

الخلاصة حضرت قواعد شف جديدة من تكاثف D-ارثرو حامض اسكوربيك مع الديهايداتاروماتية معوضة في موقع بارا . تم اختيار 5, 6- O –ايزوبروبلدين-L- اسكوربيك اسد [I] كمادة اولية, والذي تم تحضيره من تفاعل L- اسكوربيك اسد كمادة اولية مع الاسيتون الجاف في وجود كلوريد الهيدروجين. تم تحويل مجاميع الهيدروكسيل في C-2 و C-3بتفاعلها مع اثيل كلورواسيتات بوجود خلات الصوديوم ليعطي الاستر الجديد [II] , والذي تم تكثيفه مع الهايدرازين المائي ليعطي مركب الهايدرازايد[III]. قواعد شف الجديدة [IV]a-e حضرت من تفاعل مركبات الهايدرازايد مع بنزالديهايدات المعوضة في موقع بارا في البنزين الجاف . اما مشتقات 1, 3 – اوكسازبين الجديدة [V]a-e تم الحصول عليها من تفاعل الاضافة لقواعد شف مع انهيدريد الفثالك في البنزين الجاف مع التصعيد العكسي (الشكل 1) . شخصت المركبات المحضرة بقياس درجات انصهارها وبواسطة طيف FTIRوطيف1HNMR للبعض منها درست الفعالية البايولوجية للمركبات المحضرة ضد نوعين من البكتريا واظهرت النتائج فعالية بايولوجية تراوحت بين العالية والمتوسطة والواطئة ضد نوعين من البكتريا Staphylococcus (G+) ,Echerichia coli (G-)
