Abstract

Silver nanowire grow on FTO coated quartz substrate by using hydrothermal method, it can be observed that the morphology of the product is wire-like and nearly uniform in width (60 ± 10 nm), while the length is in a relatively broad range (from 0.2 to 4 µm) with an average at 2.5 µm. The calculated lattice constant according to the (111) peak is 4.08 Å which is closely consistent with the standard value (4.086 Å).

في هذا البحث تم تحضير مادة الهايدروكسيل-ابتايت الطبيعي باشكال واحجام نانوية مختلفة وذات سمية قليلة لغرض استخدام المادة في تطبيقات وذلك باستخدام طريقة كيميائية. من خلال دراسة السطح للمادة المحضرة وجد انها تكون باشكال كروية وقضيب ذات طول يتراوح بين 10-20 nm واقطار اقل من 10 nm .

Abstract

Abstract:In this study, a nonlinear analysis technique, Lyapunov Coefficient, and the conductancemeasurements are used to understand the properties of DNA Nanowire as a Quasi-One-DimensionalTight-Binding Chain. Lyapunov Coefficient for five DNA sequences including [(G/C)24], [(A/T)24],[periodic)24], [(code periodic)24] and [(random)24] were studied. Its magnitude and behavior aswell as the conductance-temperature dependence are proved to be very useful for providingconsiderable information about DNA Nanowire system. In addition, the transmission of these fivesequences and temperature-dependent conductance (vary from 0K to 300K)has been investigated.

Abstract

This article provides an overview of the physics and technologies behind the rapid progress of miniaturization of semiconductor lasers, in particular the quantum wire lasers based on onedimensional nanoscale optical gain media. Since the first report of lasing in quantum wires by Kapon and his co-workers [1], quantum wire lasers have evolved from .microlasers. in which the onedimensional nanostructure is embedded in a micron size optical cavity, to .nanolasers. in which, as we recently demonstrated [2], the material gain and optical feedback are simultaneously achieved by individual nanoscale quantum wires. One-dimensional semiconductor fabrication technologies based on nanoscale lithography, selforganization, selective growth, and chemical synthesis will be reviewed along with recent advances of quantum wire lasers built upon each of these fabrication technologies.

Abstract

This research highlights fabrication of NiCr nanowires by electrochemical deposition. The deposition was achieved using anodic aluminum oxide AAO template with 70 nm diameter of pores. The anodization was performed using oxalic acid with two steps to obtain AAO template. 72.3Ni27.7Cr nanowires were obtained using nickel and chromium sulfate. The nanowires were characterized by SEM and TEM. The obtained nanowires with 70 nm diameter and 420-500 nm length.

يشير هذا البحث الى تصنيع اسلاك نانوية لسبيكة نيكل-كروم بواسطة الترسيب الكهروكيميائي. انجز الترسيب الكهروكيميائي على اساس من اوكسيد الالمنيوم المؤنود ( AAO ) ذات ثقوب نانوية قطرها ( 70 nm ). تمت عملية الانودة للالمنيوم بأستعمال حامض الاوكزالك وذلك بخطوتين من الانودة للحصول على الاساس AAO ثم تلاها ترسيب سبيكة نيكل-كروم من املاح كبريتات النيكل وكبريتات الكروم وكانت نسب العناصر الناتجة للسبيكة هي 72.3Ni27.7Cr . الاسلاك النانوية الناتجة تم تشخيصها بأستعمال المجهر الالكتروني SEM والمجهر الالكتروني TEM.ان الاسلاك النانوية الناتجة تمتلك قطر بمقدار( 70 nm ) وطول ( 420-500 nm ).

Abstract

Designing of single-mode ZnO nanowire laser has been achieved. Studying its properties has also been considered. Analysis of single-mode rate equations indicates that the laser has threshold current of 53 mA, the output power of 30 mW at bias current of 70 mA and the slope efficiency around 1.77 mW/mA for the output power from both mirrors. The critical diameter for nanowire has been calculated and it is found to be 128 nm. The number of nanowire rods through designed area of dimensions (21µm×21µm) has also been calculated. The cavity of nanowire laser is (F-P). The results are compared with some experimental work of ZnO nanowire lasers and good agreement is found.
