Effect of planting date, plant density and spraying with organic nutrients on growth and quantitative and qualitative yield for garlic plant (Allium sativum L)

Abstract

The experiment was conducted in one the fields belonging to the Directorate of Agriculture in Basra (Tomato Developing Project in Khor Al-Zubair) during the agricultural season (2015-2016) in order to study the effect of the dates and density of cultivating and spraying with seaweed extract (ALGIDEX) and the licorice root extract on the growth and yield of garlic (Allium sativum L.) and the cloves content of the elements of NP.PK.S., where the experiment included three-factor which are the interaction between three planting dates (10/25, 11/10, 25/11), two plant densities (1, 3 clove/pit), and spraying with five concentrations of organic nutrients are organic fertilizer (AlGIDEX and Ascophyllum nodosum) with two concentrations of (2, 4 ml.L-1) and licorice root extract with two concentrations (6, 8 g.L-1). In addition to the control treatment of (spraying with distilled water only), with the rate of four sprayings (two weeks between one spraying and another after completing the emergence of cultivated seedling with a month of cultivating for each date). The results showed that the second and third planting dates were significantly excelled in the leaf area (dm2), the percentage of potassium in the cloves, the weight of the head (g) and the cloves content of phosphorus, While the first planting date has excelled in the total number of heads (tons.h-1) and the percentage of nitrogen and sulfur in cloves. The cultivated plants with a density of (3 cloves/pit) were significantly excelled in leaf area (dm2), the total number of heads (ton.h-1) and the percentage of phosphorus and potassium in the cloves. The plants that were sprayed with licorice extract at a concentration of (8 g.L-1) are excelled in plant height, leafy area (dm2), the weight of the head (g), total head yield (tons.h-1), Percentage of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and sulfur in cloves, the plants that sprayed with AlGIDEX extract at a concentration of (4 ml.L-1) are also significantly excelled in plant height. Bi-interactions and triple interactions showed significant superiority in most of the studied traits.

Abstract

The experiment was conducted in Agricultural season 2014-2015 beneath heated plastic house condition which belong to Agricultural state nursery / Kirkuk government, to study the effect of organic nutrition spraying on growth and yield of three pepper hybrid Capsicum annum L. the nutrient following were used Humque acid G , seaweed extract P and alga cifo 3000 V in addition to control treatment Three hybrids were used Mandera H1, Remus CR×6122 H2 and Festose H3 . The experiment designed as split plot design with two factors, and hybrid distributed in main plots , while the nutrient distributed in secondary plot with three replicates for two factors , so the experiment included 36 experimental unit. The results were analyzed using in SAS of composed in using Duncan that multiple boards at level 0.05 . The result were summarized as following :H2 had highest chlorophyll contacts , H1 recorded significant increasing in fruit diameter and weight, while H3 in fruit length , there are no significant differences between the hybrids to individual plant yield. The nutrient spraying with G spraying recorded spurting in main leave content of chlorophyll , leaves area and fruit weight , For the interaction between nutrient and hybrids the interaction between of H2 with G had superiority in total chlorophyll contact . H1 with P in total leave area. Nutrient effect appeared significant in all quantitve and qualitative characters expect number of fruit character It superior as a comparison treatment. the interaction between H1 and G significant increasing in fruit diameter, fruit, length and weight fruit while interaction between H2 and G in characters yield, total yield and individual plant yield, the interaction between G, H3 had superiaty in fruit length .

نفذت التجربة خلال الموسم الزراعي 2014-2015 تحت ظروف البيوت البلاستيكية المدفأة التابعة لمشتل مديرية الزراعة - محافظة كركوك بهدف دراسة تأثير الرش بالمغذيات العضوية في نمو وحاصل ثلاثة هجن من نبات الفلفل الحلو Capsicum annuum L. ، استعمل في التجربة المغذيات التالية: Humique acid رمز له (G) و Sea weed extract رمز له (P) و(Alga Cifo 3000) رمز له (V) بالإضافة الى معاملة المقارنة Control، وثلاثة هجن Mandra – F1 رمز له (H1) والهجين Remus CRX 6122 رمز له (H2) والهجين Festos رمز له (H3)، صممت التجربة وفق نظام القطع المنشقة split plot design ، وزعت الهجن في القطع الرئيسية اما المغذيات فقد وزعت في القطع الثانوية وكررت بثلاث مكررات، حللت البيانات باستخدام برنامج SAS وقورنت المتوسطات باستعمال اختبار دنكن متعدد الحدود وعلى مستوى احتمال 0.05، وكانت نتائج التجربة كما يلي: أعطى الهجين (H2) تفوقاً معنوياً في صفة محتوى الاوراق من الكلوروفيل، وسجل الهجين (H1) تفوقاً معنوياً لصفة قطر الثمرة ووزنها، بينما تفوق الهجين (H3) في صفة طول الثمرة، ولم يلاحظ وجود أي فروق معنوية بين الهجن لصفة حاصل النبات الواحد، واظهر المغذي (G) تفوقاً معنوياً في صفتي محتوى الاوراق من الكلوروفيل والمساحة الورقية ووزن الثمرة، وكان التداخل بين الهجين (H2) والمغذي (G) قد اظهر تفوقاً معنوياً في صفة محتوى الاوراق من الكلوروفيل الكلي، اما التداخل بين الهجين (H1) والمغذي (P) فقد تفوق في صفة المساحة الورقية، وتظهر تأثير المغذيات حدوث تفوق في جميع صفات الحاصل الكمية والنوعية عدا صفة عدد الثمار تفوق فيها معاملة المقارنة، وسجل التداخل الثنائي بين (H1) و(G) زيادة معنوية في صفات قطر الثمرة وطول الثمرة ووزنها وتفوق التداخل بين(H2) و(G) في صفة الحاصل الكلي وحاصل النبات الواحد، اما التداخل بين الهجين(H3) والمغذي العضوي (G) فتفوق معنوياً على باقي التداخلات لصفة طول الثمرة.
