Abstract

The drastic increase of residential loadconsumption in recent years result in over loadingfeeder lines and transformers for the Iraqi northernarea distribution system especially in the city of Mosul.Solution for this problem require up to date researchconsumers load study to find the proper solution to stopexcess overload in the transformers and the feeders. Thispaper include the regional survey for samples ofconsumers representing typical types of differentstandard of living and energy consumption bydistributing questioners contain list of information suchas load type in daily use. Also current readings arerecorded for the individual consumer for the months ofthe year 2006. In addition to those readings, energyconsumption is recorded once every two months.The registered readings are used in conjunction withthe list of questionnaires to find a sample (for differentloads) that coincide with the list of questionnaires forcurrent and energy readings. Resulting in the feasibilityof using the sample to know the peak value of currentfor any consumer even if he is not included in the list ofquestionnaires and for any new consumer, since itbecome possible to decide the size of the transformersand feeder lines, to overcome the problem of overloadingin any part of the distribution system. The ArtificialNeural Network (ANN) is used in this paper to find theabove mentioned sample.

Abstract

In this paper a simplified method for estimating the peak load in the large coldstores is found and its occurrence day by utilizing two new variables A & B. Thefirst variable represents the number of days that is necessary for cooling theproduct (storage) up to the needed temperature according to the daily temperaturedifferences only. The second variable represents the number of days required forcooling the total product (storage) depending upon the daily storage mass onlywithout returning back to the details of distribution of the daily thermal load that isfollowed in calculating thermal load for cold stores.By the demonstrative and analysis of the thermal load in cold stores with detailingstudy for each effective factors in estimating the thermal load characteristic isobserved that the factors daily temperature differences (D T) and storage mass(m) per day affect significantly in estimating the peak load values and day ofoccurrence.

تم في هذا البحث إيجاد معادلة يمكننا بواسطتها تخمين حمل الذروة و يوم حدوثه فيمخازن التبريد الكبيرة وذلك بالاستفادة من المتغيرات دون الرجوع الى تفاصيل توزيع الحملالحراري .يمثل المتغيرالاول عددالأيام المطلوبة لتبريدالمنتج (الخزين) الى درجة الحرارةالمطلوبة طبقاً لفرق درجات الحرارة اليومية فقط، أما المتغير الثاني فيمثل عدد الأيام المطلوبةإعتماداعلى مقدارالخزن اليومي.تبين من الدراسة أعلاه بأن العاملين فرق درجات الحرارة اليومي وكمية الكتلة المخزونة لكللهما تأثير ملموس في تحديد مقدار حمل الذروة وزمن حدوثه وذلك ؛( m ،T D) يومبعد تحليل ودراسة كل العوامل المؤثرة التي تحدد مواصفات الحمل الحراري في المخازنالمبردة الكبيرة
