Abstract

All people now a day are focusing on an important issue which is 'security' where all Rigid, worthy dealing with, and creditable companies pay a lot of attention for this problem. Therefore the cost, usage, portability must be taken in consideration. This work demonstrate the use of a smart, small, not expensive and the most important realistic portable lock with portable low consumption power supply and security coverage area with minimum side effect and maintenance.This lock is not the representative for a key but it may represent a badge, an ID, or a credit card or social security card …. etc. So it’s very close to the use of the human normal day life and hence it will not be a security burden since the security card may be embedded within other cards like car security card or credit card …etc.The system is implemented and tested with no need for a sophisticated material but easy equipment may stand enough to achieve the job with very accept able cost. The system achieves high security password and a master electronic key that cannot be copied within the available constraint and high control operating environment and a backup plan in case of key lost.

Abstract

Attendance is an important aspect in every educational institute or workplace. Most universities are still using the paper based attendance system. This paper presents an effective approach to improve the processes of attendance system using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology .The design of software tools was implemented by using Visual Basic 6.0 for interfacing and a database for persons’ information include RFID tags identification (IDs). The proposed design has Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) to get message from the application when the identification is done, and pass information back to the micro controller to send this information to LCD to be displayed.

يعتبر نظام متابعة الحضور جانب مهما في كل مؤسسة تعليمية او اي مكان عمل. معظم الجامعات ما زالت تتبع نظام متابعة الحضورالورقي. يطرح هذا البحث طريقة فعاله لتحسين عمل نظام متابعة الغياب باستعمال تقنية التعرف بواسطة الترددات الراديوية . لقد تمت عملية تصميمالاداة البرمجية باستعمال الفيجوال بيسك لعمل واجهة وقاعدة بيانات لمعلومات الاشخاص تحتوي على رقم معرف بطاقة التعرف الراديوية. يحتويالتصميم المقترح على شاشة لتاخذ الرسالة التي تتم عرضها من التطبيق عندما تتم عملية التعرف بحيث ان المعلومات ممكن ان ترسلالى)المسيطرات المايكروية( لكي يقوم بارسالها الى الشاشة لكي يتم عرضها.

Abstract

(RFID) is a technology used for identification or tracking of any objects. RFID system contains "tag and RFID reader" that performs the main operation of identifying things. a library system has been built using RFID components and using special programs. Microsoft access database was used to build the tables that needs to store the information of the books. The implementation of the system has been done in two main stages, the first one is a Hardware Device "RFID-RC522" and "Arduino card", and the second is the implementation of a specific read software program, a graphical User Interface (GUI) for the system has been built by using Visual Basic (VB).

أن تقنية التعرف بالموجات الراديوية هي إحدى التقنيات المهمة التي تستخدم للتعرف ولتعقب أي كائن. في تطبيق ( RFID) يتكون النظام من بطاقة و جهاز قارئ والذي يقوم بالعملية الأساسية للتعرف على الكائنات. في هذا البحث تم بناء نظام إدارة مكتبة باستعمال أجهزة وبرامج خاصة. تم بناء قاعدة بيانات لخزن معلومات الكتب باستعمال (Microsoft access). تم بناء النظام المقترح بمرحلتين أساسيتين, الأولى هي بناء المكونات المادية (جهاز القارئ وجهاز مايكروكونترولر ) , والمرحلة الثانية هي بناء البرمجيات الخاصة بعميلة القراءة , وتم بناء واجهة مستخدم رسومية باستعمال برنامج (visual basic 6).

Abstract

Microstrip antennas suffer from low gain bandwidth product due to surface wave effects and aperture diffractions that limit their use for long-range communications. On top of that, the difficulty of achieving a pure circularly polarized radiation with high gain due to the feeding structure effects. This paper is subjected to design a gain enhanced circularly polarized patch antenna using Uniplanar Compact-Photonic Band Gap (UC-PBG) structu.res for UHF RFID applications. The patch is structured as truncated corners with cross slots at the centre mounted on an FR-4 epoxy substrate of 1.6mm thickness with an overall area of 188×188mm2. The UC-PBG is constructed of two layers; each is made of 7×7 unit cells, separated by 20mm mounted from the top of the patch at 30mm height. The unit cell characterizations are evaluated in terms of their S-parameters and dispersion diagram CST-MWS environment. The antenna shows a boresight gain of about 8.2 dBi at 915MHz with a front to back ratio (F/B) of 13dB. The benchmark enhancement in boresight gain after adding the UC-PBG layers is found to be 3.4 dBi with a radiation efficiency of 87%. Finally, an excellent agreement is achieved between the obtained measurements and numerical results.

Abstract

Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is being used widely in the last few years. Its applications classifies into auto identification and data capturing issues. The purpose of this paper is to design and implement RFID active tags and reader using microcontroller ATmega328 and 433 MHz RF links. The paper also includes a proposed mutual authentication protocol between RFID reader and active tags with ownership transfer stage. Our protocol is a mutual authentication protocol with tag’s identifier updating mechanism. The updating mechanism has the purpose of providing forward security which is important in any authentication protocol to prevent the attackers from tracking the past transactions of the compromised tags. The proposed protocol gives the privacy and security against all famous attacks that RFID system subjected for due to the transfer of data through unsecure wireless channel, such as replay, denial of service, tracking and cloning attacks. It also ensures ownership privacy when the ownership of the tag moves to a new owner

Abstract

Nowadays, there are no accurate records of the various quantities of fuel being dispensed at the Iraqi fuel stations. All such reports are usually paper-based and are missing the required precision to control this valuable commodity, which could lead to misuse or illegal sale of fuel. This paper presents a control system based on RFID technology to monitor the supply and dispensing of vehicle fuel in Baghdad. The system consists of RFID readers attached to fuel dispensers and pumps, and RFID tags assigned to the vehicles and the trucks used for delivering fuel to the fuel stations. A hardware part is connected to conventional fuel dispensers and machines, located at both the stations and the fuel refineries or depots, which makes them work under the control of the RFID system, without the need to rebuild new dispensers. The designed system database is a centralized one located on a cloud server, in order to allow fuel stations to communicate with it and do the required transactions. Throughout this system, different reports can be generated, which can give important online statistics about the movement of fuel supplies over the city.

Abstract

Rationing is a commonly used solution for shortages of resources and goods that are vital for the citizens of a country. This paper identifies some common approaches and policies used in rationing as well asrisks that associated to suggesta system for rationing fuelwhichcan work efficiently. Subsequently, addressing all possible security risks and their solutions. The system should theoretically be applicable in emergency situations, requiring less than three months to implement at a low cost and minimal changes to infrastructure.

نظم التقنين هي احد اكثر الطرائق الشائعة للتعامل مع نقص الموارد و البضائع الضرورية للمواطنين، في هذا البحث سنتعرف على هذه النظم وطرائق تطبيقها والاليات والمخاطر المصاحبة لها، ثم نقوم بتطوير نظام لتوزيع الوقود يمكن تطبيقه في العراق، مع مراعاة الخروقات الممكن استغلال النظام من خلالها وكيفية معالجتها، ويشترط بالنظام ان يكون لحالات الطواريء ويمكن تطبيقه خلال ثلاثه اشهر بكلفة واطئة وبدون تغييرات جذرية في البنى التحتية.

Abstract

Nowadays it is more necessary to perform the identity check of passengers quickly and reliably to prevent unauthorized border crossing, and limit the use of forger passport. This paper concentrated on the design E-passport using two main technologies which are biometric and RFID technologies. Biometric features are used to identify passport holder and the RFID is used to store andtransmit these features as required. This paper proposes a new approach to design and implement a robust biometric recognition system that could be used in e-passport system to identify and recognize person that own the identical e-passport. The ANN is used for recognition persons in this proposed system which was able to recognize persons registered in database in rate up to 81% and the percentage of fail in recognition was 19%.

Abstract

This paper proposes a collaborative system called Recycle Rewarding System (RRS), and focuses on the aspect of using information communication technology (ICT) as a tool to promote greening. The idea behind RRS is to encourage recycling collectors by paying them for earning points. In doing so, both the industries and individuals reap the economical benefits of such system. Finally, and more importantly, the system intends to achieve a green environment for the Earth. This paper discusses the design and implementation of the RRS, involves: the architectural design, selection of components, and implementation issues. Five modules are used to construct the system, namely: database, data entry, points collecting and recording, points rewarding, and web modules. The RRS has been deployed at the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) to encourage the collectors to support the green environment.

يقترح هذا البحث تصميم وتنفيذ نظام تعاوني محوسب لاعادة التدوير والمكافأة للبيئة الخضراء, ويركز على جانب استخدام تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات كأداة لتعزيز تخضير الأرض. الفكرة وراء هذا النظام هي تشجيع جامعي المواد القابلة للتدوير عن طريق احتساب نقاط لهم, ومن ثم دفع أجور مقابلة للنقاط المكتسبة. وبذلك، فإن كلا من المصانع والأفراد تجني فوائد اقتصادية من هذا النظام. والأهم من ذلك, نحقق البيئة الخضراء للأرض. تناقش هذه الورقة تصميم وتنفيذ النظام المقترح، وتتضمن: التصميم المعماري، واختيار المكونات، وقضايا التنفيذ. فضلا عن ذلك, يقترح البحث خمسة وحدات لتشييد النظام، وهي: قاعدة البيانات، وحدة إدخال البيانات ، وحدة جمع وتسجيل النقاط, وحدة مكافأة النقاط، ووحدة شبكة الإنترنت. وقد تم وضع النظام المقترح حيز التطبيق في جامعة الساينس الماليزية لدعم البيئة الخضراء.
