The Training Requirements for Preparing Teachers from their Point of View

Abstract

The process of paying attention to education in the elementary level is represented through focusing on preparing and training teachers in a way that is suitable to build a knowledge-based generation. Preparation and training ought to be based on a group of training requirements regarding the teacher as the cornerstone in reforming the educational system in basic stages. Such preparation should occur prior to and during the service so as to result in a well-qualified teacher of prominent performance. The study aims at:-Identifying the most important training requirements needed in preparing the basic levels teachers from their own points of view. The tool of (Barakat,2010) is adopted in the study after executing all scientific research procedures. It was applied on a sample of elementary school male and female teachers with a bachelor certificate in Diyala General Directorate of Education.After gathering the required data and processing them statistically, the researcher figured out the following results:-Ascendingly arranging the training requirements as in table number 2.-Finding out the training requirements of the basic levels teacher according to sex variable (male-female). It is noted that males enjoy a higher level of training in the training requirements than females because the measured T-value is more than the tabular value and in favor of males as the mean of their scores is higher than the mean of female scores in the sample of the study.Therefore, the researcher recommends the following:-Assembling training seminars or courses to specify the level of teaching cadres and the extent of their coping with developments in contemporary education.-The researcher suggests to couduct a similar study concerning the training requirements of making basic levels teacher from educational supervisors' point of view.

تتمثل عملية الاهتمام بالتعليم في المرحلة الأساسية من خلال التركيز على إعداد وتدريب المعلم بشكل يتناسب مع بناء جيل قائم على المعرفة ، إذ لابد أن يكون الإعداد والتدريب قائم على مجموعة من الحاجات التدريبية وذلك باعتبار المعلم حجر الزاوية في إصلاح نظام التعليم في المراحل الأساسية ويكون هذا الإعداد قبل وأثناء الخدمة لكي يصبح المعلم ذو كفاءة عالية والأداء المتميز. وقد هدفت الدراسة إلى : -التعرف علىأهم الحاجات التدريبية اللازمة لإعداد المعلم الجامعي من وجهة نظرهم. وقد تم تبني اداة (بركات ،2010) وبعد القيام بجميع إجراءات البحث العلمي ، فقد تم تطبيق على عينة من معلمي ومعلمات المدارس الابتدائية لتربية محافظة ديالى ممن لديهم شهادة جامعية ، وبعد جمع المعلومات المطلوبة ومعالجتها إحصائيا، فقد توصل الباحث إلى النتائج الآتية : -تم ترتيب الحاجات التدريبية ترتيبا تنازليا وكما موضحا في الجدول (2). -تم التعرف على الحاجات التدريبية للمعلم الجامعي على وفق متغير الجنس (ذكور-إناث) وقد تبين أن الذكور يتمتعون بمستوى عالي من التدريب على الحاجات التدريبية أكثر من الإناث وذلك لان القيمة التائية المحسوبة اكبر من القيمة الجدولية ويكون لصالح الذكور لأنه متوسط درجات الذكور اكبر من متوسط درجات الإناث لعينة البحث . لذا فقد يوصي الباحث بالاتي: -إقامة ندوات أو دورات تدريبية وحلقات نقاشية للوقوف على مستوى الكوادر التعليمية ومدى مواكبتهم لتطورات التعليم المعاصر. -ويقترح الباحث بإجراء دراسة مماثلة عن الحاجات التدريبية لإعداد المعلم الجامعي من وجهة نظر المشرفين التربويين.

Abstract

The research aims to find out the current training requirements necessary for the teachers of the Arabic language and its parameters from their point of view, has sample consisted of( 198) teachers from public schools in the Middle Euphrates region, for the primary stage. It was the application of a questionnaire prepared for the measurement of training needs is composed of( 47) items distributed on six areas: field (lesson planning, presentation skills lesson, teaching methods, the Specialist, educational, behavioral, and Calendar) and after analyzing the data necessary indicated the search results that teachers have the training needs of high reaching the weighted average year (4.11) higher than the central premise and adult (3), on the other hand, the results showed a lack of statistically significant differences in the needs of teachers training due to the variable sex and years of experience, and the presence of significant differences statistically attributable to qualified scientific. This is in light of these results has been proposed a number of recommendations was the most important: the design of training programs for teachers of the Arabic language and its parameters include the training needs in the areas of the questionnaire, the use of modern techniques in training, and the need to involve teachers in the identification of training needs required in the field of education and teaching stratasegies

هدف البحث الحالي إلى معرفة الاحتياجات التدريبية اللازمة لمعلمي اللغة العربية ومعلماتها من وجهة نظرهم،وقد تكونت عينة البحث من ( 198)معلماً ومعلمةً من المدارس الحكومية في منطقة الفرات الأوسط ،للمرحلة الابتدائية. وتم تطبيق استبانة تم اعدادها لقياس الاحتياجات التدريبية مكونة من (47)فقرة موزعة على ست مجالات هي : مجال(التخطيط للدرس،مهارات عرض الدرس، طرائق التدريس،الجانب التخصصي، التربوي والسلوكي،و التقويم) وبعد تحليل البيانات اللازمة اشارت نتائج البحث الى ان المعلمين والمعلمات لديهم احتياجات تدريبية عالية حيث بلغ الوسط المرجح العام (4,11) اعلى من الوسط الفرضي والبالغ (3), ومن جهة اخرى اظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية في احتياجات المعلمين التدريبية تعزى لمتغير الجنس وسنوات الخبرة , ووجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية تعزى للمؤهل العلمي . هذا وفي ضوء هذه النتائج تم اقتراح عدد من التوصيات كان اهمها :تصميم برامج تدريبية لمعلمي اللغة العربية ومعلماتها تشتمل على الاحتياجات التدريبية المتعلقة بمجالات الاستبانة , استخدام التقنيات الحديثة في التدريب , وضرورة اشراك المعلمين والمعلمات في تحديد الاحتياجات التدريبية المطلوبة في الميدان التربوي واستراتيجيات التدريس .

Abstract

The establishment of demonstratory extensive fields is considered as basic stone that develop agriculturalpractices. Therefore, this study aimed to: 1) identify some of the main characteristics of extension field workers;2) determine the level of their training requirements concerning the establishment of the demonstration guidancefields; 3) knowing the relationship between the level of requirements and the personal characteristics of workers.The research community included all workers in agricultural extension in Anbar province who are (136)workers. The data was collected through questionnaire form prepared for this purpose and was modified tobecome as acceptable to fulfill the data for the study. The study explained that the vast majority of the workersare the older ones and most of them graduated from agricultural preparatory, and many of them have spent morethan (25) years in the extension work, also many of them have implemented field demonstration, but a highproportion of them did not have the information on the implementation of field demonstration, either in theiracademic preparation or in their training during the service. The study pointed out the fact that a high percentageof workers believe in the importance of extension work and field demonstration in the instructional process, alsomany of them pointed out to the lack or absence of the financial and administrative support for the establishmentof extension field demonstration particularly in the past two decades. The study showed that the requirements ofworkers in agricultural extension were the highest in planning to the establishment of the field demonstrationwhile the requirements were the lowest in technical factors concerning the crop at which the field demonstrationwill be implemented. The study didn’t show a correlation between the level of requirements and each of thefactors; age, academic achievement, length of extension service, the academic specialization, the number oftraining courses, The adequacy of courses, while the study showed a correlation between the needs and thefactors: the number of field demonstration implemented, how the workers believe in extension work, and beliefin the importance fields demonstration in practical guidance. Based on the results obtained, the studyrecommended that its necessary to enroll the workers in the agricultural extension in the training coursesconcerning how to set up the field demonstrations and allocate part of the curriculum academic preparation foragricultural to deal with how to set up the field demonstrations and conduct further studies in the field of trainingneeds to put training curriculum on the basis of sound scientific to all areas of the extension work.
