Abstract

In this paper, three cases are discussed. First, the comparison between Adomain decomposition method (ADM) and the variational iteration method (VIM). Second, the failure of ADM to solve some boundary value problems like one space-dimensional spatially homogeneous heat equation for some initial and boundary conditions. Third, using VIM when the ADM fails to be convergent

في هذا البحث تمت مناقشة ثلاثة حالات، الأولى هي مقارنة بين الطريقتين ADM و VIM ، الثانية هي فشل طريقة ADM لحل بعض مسائل القيم الحدودية مثل معادلة الحرارة ذات البعد الواحد لبعض الشروط الابتدائية والحدودية والثالثة هي استعمال طريقة VIM بديلا عنها في حل تلك المسائل.

Prevalence of VIM Metallo ß –Lactamase among Clinical Isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae in Hilla Hospitals

Abstract

This study investigated the presence of blaVIM in clinical isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae. During the period from April to August 2011, a total of 801 various clinical samples were collected from different hospitals in Hilla city. Of these,117 isolates were diagnosed as K.pneumoniae . High prevalence of K.pneumoniae isolates were detected in stool samples 38 (27%) followed by sputum 19 (15%). All 117 K.pneumoniae isolates were primarily screened for - lactams resistance, 91 (78%) showed positive results for beta lactams . β- lactam resistance isolates were underwent antimicrobial susceptibility to 26 antibiotics by Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion methods .High resistance rate was recorded for penicillins (carbenicillin and ampicillin) (99%) and (94.5%),respectively .Carbapenem resistance was reported in 17 (18.7%) of K. pneumoniae isolates. Phenotypic detection of metallo β- lactamase by imipenem-EDTA disk identified a proportion of 65% as metallo β-lactamase producers. The presence of blaVIM gene was checked by Polymerase Chain reaction (PCR) and confirmed in 14(82.3%) of isolates.

Abstract

In this paper we solve the nonlinear wave-like Equations with variable coefficient by three Semi numerical methods, varational iteration method (VIM), homotopy perturbation method (HPM) and homotopy analysis method (HAM). The solution obtained by these methods are Compared with the solution obtained by Adomian decomposition method (ADM) and the exact solution [8].

تناولنا في هذا البحث حل معادلة شبه الموجة بمعاملات متغيرة بثلاثة طرائق مختلفة وهي VIM , HPM و HAM. الحل الناتج من استعمال الطرائق الثلاث تمت مقارنته مع الحل التحليلي والحل الناتج من تطبيق طريقة ADM [8].

Abstract

In this article, the existence’ and uniqueness’ theorem of the solution of the generalized two dimensional ‘fractional’ partial integro-differential equations (2DFPIDEs) have been proved. Then, the sequence of approximate solutions of the generalized 2DFPIDEs employing the variational iteration method (VIM) had been derived and proved and then we prove its convergence to the exact solution. Finally, illustrative examples are simulated using computer software Mathcad 15 and then a comparison between the approximate results and ‘the exact solution are given’, which discover its competence.

Abstract

In this paper, one type of Volterra integral equations (VIEs) is classified as nth-order VIE of fourth-kind. This class of nth-order, fourth-kind VIE usually occurs in many fields of physics and engineering. A new iteration technique is proposed to solve a class of Volterra integral equations. The nth-order VIE of fourth-kind is converted to nth-order ordinary differential equation (ODE). The ODE is solved by using variational iteration method (VIM). It shows that the variational iteration method (VIM) is efficient and powerful integrator for dealing with this class of integral equations. Some examples are solved to illustrate the effectiveness and simplicity of the proposed method.The comparison of the results using VIM with analytical solutions reveals that VIM is very effective, convenient and quite accurate to both linear and nonlinear problems.

في هذا البحث, صنفت احدى معادلات فولتيرا التكاملية كمعادلة رتبة n ذات النوع الرابع. يظهر هذا الصنف من معادلات فولتيرا التكاملية في تطبيقات الحقول المختلفة للفيزياء والهندسة. فقد فرضت التقنية التكرارية الجديدة لحل صنف المعادلات التكاملية. حيث تحول معادلات فولتيرا التكاملية ذات النوع الرابع والرتبة n الى معادلة تفاضلية اعتيادية ذات الرتبة n , عندئذ تحل المعادلة التفاضلية باستخدام طريقة التغاير التكرارية. أظهرت طريقة التغاير التكرارية كاداة كفوءة وفعالة لمعالجة صنف المعادلات التكاملية. أختيرت عدة امثلة لأظهار فعالية وبساطة هذه الطريقة . أظهرت المقارنات للنتائج العددية لطريقة التغاير التكرارية مع الحلول التحليلة للمسائل المقارنة بان الطريقة ذات فعالية ملائمة ودقيقة للمسائل الخطية وغير الخطية

Abstract

The He's varational iteration method (VIM) depend on solving integration at each iterations, some times the integration is very difficult to overcome this difficulty, the orthogonal polynomials will be used. Test problems are discussed for comparison between VIM and Adomian Decomposition method (ADM) for different orthogonal polynomials M. M. Hosseini (2006).
